Comment:
I took Reitz for intro to statistics and it was brutal. Reitz lectures are long and dry and often times will not help you at all for the graded homework that is due in class every single day. If you don't understand something asking for help doesn't do much because he barely explains it then moves on. Basically stats with Reitz is a challange.

He is great, take him if you get the chance. He will teach you so much if you are open to examining your own life and how what you do affects this earth and other cultures. Funny and extremely nice, I never skipped this class!

Prof. Reitz is one of the greatest people I have met at this university. I learned that he is going to retire in 2007. This will be a real loss for the University.

The lectures can be interesting, but extremely biased, and mostly intended to push his own political viewpoints and agenda. But none of this matters, because what he talks about is never related to the tests which come straight from the book. He hands out a good study guide before the tests and the class isn't that difficult.

Stubborn and opinionated, but has some interesting things to say if you are willing to listen. Be prepared to fight a bit to voice your thoughts. You will peer edit all your papers.

I've found prof reitz to be one of the more interesting teachers i've encountered at chapman. He does have liberal values, but christ he's a college professor. He's an anthropologist with a lot of experience and a lot of interesting subject matter to share. i'd recommend him (and have).

I could not have had a worst teacher. WHY is he still teacher. It could not possibly be because you still learn. Whatever your politics, you will be disgusted with how blatantly biased he is. He is off the deep-end with political issues and is pushing his ideas at the expense of your education.

SO incredibly liberal it's disgusting. Spent a semester preaching his point of view, and blaming white conservatives for all the problems of the world. If you offer up any opinion besides his, be prepared to be graded down.

I've never met a more subjective grader in my life. He marks your papers down and doesn't say why. So if you like turning in A papers and being surprised by whatever random grade he gives you then please, take this class.

if you want to find the worst teacher at chapman...then it's him! He needs to throw his powerpoint away, and try teaching the class. DO NOT take stats from this man!

Alright, so I don't know why everyone's decided to hate Prof. Reitz. He's really not bad. He offers office hours and if you make use of them, it's actually helpful. He's very much interested in conceptual teaching than the nitty-gritty.

If you put in the effort he will too. Some of my class was too lazy and dumb to figure this out. Remember that you go to class to learn, not to play games on your computer and than blame your bad grade on your prof.
