Prof. Parr is such a kind, adorable lady, she cares about students and even sometimes being too nice to them. Her lectures sometimes may not so entertaining but addressed materials fairly, and you can tell she did a lot of work on her side to make you learn better. Easy grader and always give good feedback. Took 3 classes with her so far all good

Comment:

That old saying "Show no mercy," comes to mind. On a personal level I didn't have an issue with her. The problems were: she would give us a date as to when we'd get papers back and still be a month late, and frankly she was quite intimidating.

Dr. Parr is extremely engaging during her lectures. She is sweet and you can tell she cares about her students. She makes the material very interesting. I would recommend to anyone!

Comment:

Parr is one of the most hands on profs I've ever had. She engages the class very well, and encourages participation through a very easy going classroom atmosphere. Assignments and exams were fair, however it is very important to stay up to date with readings, and homework examples. She is very approachable and wants everyone to do their best.

She is a great prof! Very open minded and gives great feedback. She tries to learn everyone's names and is very respectful. Not bias and is crystal clear with assignments, papers, exams and such! Would take a class with her again if I could. Highly recommend taking her classes (unless you like to skip... then you won't get by). Also NO TEXTBOOK!!!

Incredible prof. Does an awesome job in showing all sides to an argument and is open to free inquiry. I can't recommend this class enough or her as a prof. Universities need more people like her. No textbook (thank you!) but used different free online sources for text. Definitely need to read the majority of them in order to well.

Prof. Parr is very sweet and approachable, if a little dry. Could be more spirited but she presents the sometimes upsetting material very calmly which is also nice. Open minded, never opinionated or biased, and open to everyone's thoughts and experiences. Encourages discussion. I highly recommend this class and Prof. Parr.

Very nice and friendly. Communicates as clearly as the material will allow (it is still philosophy). Less-than-orgainzed, but the class is set up that way. Instead of having a vast amount of information, there is a small amount of information and lots of practice. Lovely Prof. Take her and have fun.

She is super nice, but that is about it. She can't lecture or even take control of the class. This class should have been a lot more exiting with more debating and reasoning, rather, she read from the text, and bored us to death. She didn't have a syllabus and assigned homework daily, felt like I was in high school again. Waste of time...

Always prepared, interesting readings, brought her dog to class a couple of times. Made a lot of students very interested in the topic. Always brought in great articles and referred us to interesting videos. I highly recommend this professor and this class.

Very interested in what she teaches. Very, very, very nice and compassionate (learns all the names of the class). She also gives you a lot of opportunities to do well. She's also really cute. I bet she was a dish 10-20 years ago.

she is one of my favourite profs. makes class interesting and really cares about her subject matter. as far as the excessive paper handouts go, she does it to save you money on courseware so how about being grateful about it. definitely take a class with her if you can. :)
