Comment:

Katherine is that professor that is passionate about her work, her field of study, and mostly her students. She is a tough grader but she is looking specifically for you to improve your work and push yourself. Unpretentious, highly approachable and encouraging. The best professor/teacher I've had in my life, bar none.

Comment:

Gallagher was a great prof! She engages the class in the material and does her best to help students do well. I wouldn't say that attendance is mandatory but she does emphasis taking notes in class as many of her examples come from her lectures. Plus she's pretty witty so class was enjoyable! She also knows a lot about knitting and goats.

She's an amazing prof! Very clear with what she expects out of students and a very fair marker. Also very interested in helping make sure students understand all concepts, even if it means helping after hours. She's funny and highly intelligent too- definitely know what she's talking about. Favorite prof I've had at MUN in five years!

Not for the faint of heart; do not take it if you want a slack business elective. I loved it! The most work I've ever had to do to one course but I learned so much. Plus, she is so so so hilarious! But I really disliked the amount of group work. Make sure you get a strong group. Attendance is CRUCIAL for this course!

EXCELLENT prof. She's enthusiastic & gives great examples for everything you cover. Plays commercials for 10-15 minutes before class to keep one entertained & stimulate interest. Prepares you very, very well for exams. TAKE HER FOR THIS COURSE. You will not regret it.

Interesting to listen to, but in my own experience I found her to be a poor professor. Makes students grade each other in group projects, which is fine, however she forces you to play favorites in that you need to allocate an uneven amount of marks (i.e. cannot give everyone equal points). THIS IS NOT RIGHT!!!

Excellent professor! Scary for the first half of the year, brutal midterm with no study hints. Need to know everything and the questions come from the smallest things you wouldnt expect. After a lot of the people fail the midterm, she comes around, is nice, gives final exam study hints. Hilarious woman. Study hard. Papers require HOURS of work.

Katherine Gallagher is awesome. Totally loved her classes. Really helpful to students and she's really cool and smart! Definetly a harder marker, although i didn't find her too bad! If you study you will do well and good writing skills are a big asset. Definetly recommend!
