Comment:

Easily one of the most brilliant people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. She is so knowledgeable about her field; she began her first class reading an Old English manuscript with ease comparable to a children's book. Despite this she is uncommonly kind and down to earth, not at all pretentious. The class is not easy, but it's certainly worth it.

Dr. Rehyansky is EASILY the smartest person I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. I've had her for both History of the English Language and Contemporary English Grammar. Do the workbook assignments, read the books, and go to her office hours. She REALLY cares about every student and loves her job. Wish there were more professors like Dr. R

This class was really hard but Dr. Reyhansky was more than helpful and very understanding. She scheduled weekly meetings with me to make sure I understood the material. She allows you to retake tests as long as you show effort in the class. I would strongly recommend her to anyone!

A hard class only if you're not willing to put in effort. I actually aced this class because she makes it interesting and puts in the effort to help the class understand it. You will have to actually work for your grade, but it's overall rewarding. She's also probably one of the smartest professors I've ever had. Highly recommended.

Rehyansky is easily my favorite professor this semester. She knows almost everything, and what she doesn't know, she's willing to learn from her students. You'll need to pay attention in class and do the workbook assignments, but if you need help, go see her and you will learn everything from her personally. I would love to take her again.

Dr. Rehyansky is one of the best professors I've ever had. The woman is brilliant and no doubt a genius. She transcribes and translates Old and Middle English manuscripts when she's not teaching. Very sharp woman. She keeps you on your toes. I hope to have her for one of my classes again!

I had Professor Rehyansky for HOEL, Modern Grammar, and Chaucer. She is wonderful! Her classes are only difficult if you refuse to study. I am a senior now and she is the best professor I have had at UTC. She is smart, interesting, funny, willing to help, and knows more than you may think.

Dr. R. is a fantastic teacher. She breaks things down well to ensure comprehension. The class seems a little scattered, but I was surprised how well I picked things up-even when I thought I wasn't getting them. She's very helpful if you ask. Excellent study guides for the midterm and final. The paper is a bear, so don't procrastinate!

Tough course but more along the lines of a lot of work than difficult work, and she knows more than you think. However, she is also extremely helpful if you ask. She'll go out of her way to help you, especially on the paper. Take this course and her Chaucer course if you can. Highly recommended!

It is obvious that Dr. Rehyansky loves her subject. She makes classes that should be unbearable interesting. I took History of English Language and Modern Grammar. In both she was clear about class goals, provided comprehensive study guides and was very available to help after class.

An absolute joy to experience someone who not only has a passion for the subject they teach, but has the ability to communicate that subject to others. Chaucer was a difficult class under her but I say that in the best possible way. The class was challenging but exhillarating. Easily one of the two best classes I have had on any level.

One of the nicest people you'll ever meet. She cares about her students and will help you with anything even after the class is over. A simply wonderful teacher and person in general. She's what I hope to be when I finally decide to grow up! Expect to work hard, but she only teaches higher-level courses, so you should know that before you take her.

Dr.Rehyansky is the most knowledgeable professor I know! She can be intimidating; although, she is approachable. This class is not easy; however, if you work hard and study you will have no problem passing the course. Be sure to ask for help whenever you need it! The day she quoted Chaucer in Middle English was the day we learned to fear her! She is incredibly smart and seems to genuinely want to HELP you learn! Imagine that! So many professors have forgotten that part of teaching. I would definitely recommend her--Just don't try to cram--it's a waste of time--keep up with her. I'm in HEL now and loving it!
