Forni is the GOAT. She encourages discussions and focuses more on that than actual written work. She gives quizzes every week for stuff that I didn't even read and I still aced it, that's how easy this class was. She has a great sense of humor and I thoroughly enjoyed taking this class. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Professor Forni was one of my favorites. She understands you have a lot of other things to do and a lot of work. She rarely ever gives homework, other than to read. The class is overall an easy A.

Dr. Forni is an actual angel. Her teaching style is different than any teacher I've ever had. She doesn't act like she knows everything; rather, she asks the class to work together to figure out the meanings of poems, short stories, books, etc. She is SO personable and respectful to her students. I will DEFINITELY be taking her again. She is a gem!

You wont want to miss class, she makes Chaucer so fun and accessible. I was not excited for this class having read Canterbury Tales before but she completely changed that opinion for me. One of the best professors at Loyola for sure. She will help you if you're struggling, she's very empathetic which is very rare quality in a professor.

Awesome teacher! The class consisted of quizzes at the beginning of class on the homework, 3 tests, and 3 papers, with a final video presentation. As long as you do the homework and show up for the class you should be fine. This is coming from someone who is not good at English!

Class consisted of easy weekly quizzes, 3 essays, 3 test and a Final Video presentation. She is honestly a good teacher who wants her students to do well in the class. Papers aren't that bad and tests/quizzes are fairly easy. I would recommend taking her because she seems like one of the more easier English teachers at Loyola.

Amazing professor. Loves to help and is willing to accomadate students. All of the tests are open notes. Quiz once a week, but if you write a lot, you'll be fine. Grades papers a little tough, but for being a mediocre writer, she gave me mostly B's/B- (which i deserved) Shes very fair. Great professor and person.

Lovely professor. Knows her stuff and makes a lit class quite interesting! Not too much work, just have to read really short stories/poems/excerpts for every class and that's not bad at all. Only 3 papers and a final! Take her!!!

Great professor. Very clear and straightforward class - the perfect amount for work for a core class. The quizzes can be difficult at times. You need to do the reading because you will be called on and the quizzes are about the reading. Fair grader.

Wow, I stumbled upon this site, college was awhile ago for me and fuzzy, I do remember her though. The only cool English teacher and I remember her being easy on the eyes. She definitely had a problem with men, not male students (I was one), but men; her dating disappoints came out subconsciously in her class. Sweet woman, I hope she found someone

forni is really nice... very funny. hearing her goofy laugh makes medieval lit more interesting lol. doesn't really teach... asks everyone else what they think... class is so easy but read the material bc you will have a final reading test, but other than that pretty much no work. one paper, frequent easy quizzes...

Forni was really laid back and hilarious. Attendance is not mandatory but she does give quizzes almost every class, so it's in your best interest to go. She can be a bit flaky and sometimes doesn't seem like she knows what she's talking about, but overall is not a bad teacher.

Not Bad. Quizzes once a week but they're on short stories and poems mostly so if you read you'll be fine. No tests, 3 papers, all pretty easy if you go to class. Final is an absolute joke.
