Comment:

Verduin is the sweetest ray of sunshine. She cares so much about her students. She wants you to learn and isn't focused on the grade. She is patient and open to discussions and viewpoints. Gives tons of notes and helpful resources. Always available to ask questions. Love her. Easy A but still makes class worth taking. <3

At best, she can be insensitive. At worst, she can be rude. Either way, do not expect clear answers to your questions. Upside is that all tests and quizzes were open note and open book so there is no reason to get less than an A. Her class is perfect for the person who wants an A and doesn't much care if they learn.

She always puts the students and their lives first. There was something going on in my personal life and she went way out of her way to accommodate for me when some of my other professors wouldn't. She's an incredible person and is very clear in what she expects from her students, but is always willing to adjust to changing circumstances.

She is absolutly adorable. We had a lot of laughs in class and enjoyable discussion of works such as the Odyssey and Everyman. There were three papers (4-5 pages each) and tests. She is very helpful and loves when students bring their papers to her office to look at before they are due. As long as you are engaged in class you will do well.

Intelligent professor. Extremely passionate. Really knows her stuff. Love the glasses. She's a little kooky but endearing at the same time. As long as you do the work, you'll get an A but don't expect not to think. I hate writing papers but she definitely made them easier and interesting.

I love how she goes over your papers with you, basically grades them, then lets you fix them, and THEN turn them in. Barely any homework, except for a couple weeks when we had to read an entire Stephen King book in about a week. However she makes everything fun and she's generally easygoing and a good teacher.

I took her for British Lit and I thought she was a horrible Professor. Work load was rather heavy and the tests were pretty difficult as well. She is a tough grader and the class itself is pretty boring. An older professor who is very stuck in her ways and shows little emotion.

I took her for my freshman english. She's fun and very kind/approachable. Before you turn it papers she goes over them with you to ensure you get a good grade, how nice is that?! Also the class was all about Stephen King so, of course, it was pretty interesting.
