I'm taking this as a online summer class. She doesn't get how an online class works. Tests are open only at 8 or 10pm on Sunday or 6am Monday. Those times don't work for you? Tough. Just thankful my girlfriend decided not to take it with me. She works 2nd shift and would never have a chance.

Her class requires a fair amount of work. She is very kind and is helpful when you need it. Her tests do require a fair amount of studying too. I am glad to have had her as a teacher.

Comments are long overdue. I had this lady the Spring 2002 semester. A totally worthless joke. The teacher education program is a joke as well. Making silly portfolio books. i had her for some sort of a early childhood education class. Most West Tennessee school systems would rather hire Union university grads. Sorry, I am a UTM alumni.

Comment:

Dr Evans is one of the nicest professors I have ever had! She is funny, caring, and was quick to respond if I ever had a question via email. Her tests and assignments were HARD, but I gained an enormous amount of information in her class. Much of what she taught, helped me in my other graduate courses.

Took online, Fall 09, As on most assginments but finished class with a B (??). Lots of reading (articles she provided), weekly discussion postings x 4, quizzes x 4, Multiple choice & T/F, & a few other assignments. I recommend taking.

I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR!! She is so understanding, almost motherly. But not quite, because she's sooooo hot! I mean dayum...is she single?? I mean I've been in school for 12 years, but I'll go another 12 if I can keep having Dr. Evans as a professor. EVERYONE TAKE HER!!!!!

This professor is horrible. She is soooo unclear in what she wants from you. She never explained what you needed to fo for the class. She was always late and a very negative person and teacher. She has her favorties in the class and when you ask for help it is not given. Do not take her. Try to take someone else if you can!!!!

Typically seemed to be frazzled and distracted. Details of some projects were neglected, but there was usually an opportunity to resubmit the assignment for re-grade. Took her a very long time to finalize/approve our placements. Do not allow her to procrastinate on you!! You'll pay the price in being RUSHED at the end of semester.

She is a very reasonable and understanding professor. She has way too much on her plate (The department wants her on every committee b/c she's African-American.), and that is why she can seem so scatterbrained sometimes.

Mrs. Evans was unclear in her instructions for things. Very ambiguous in general. Seemed to doubt everyone's abilities, makes you uncomfortable. Too politically correct inside the classroom.

Her knowledge of the subject matter is very adequate. Some of her faults are: lack of organization and clarity. For the entire semester, she showed up to class late for every class meeting. Because of her lack of clarity, her grading scale was not fair.
