If you want an easy lab science do not take her. Her tests are impossible. she is such a hard grader. For how bad I did on the tests I actually ended up with an okay grade but she is so hard and can be so sassy. this is class should be for bio majors not non bio majors.

She can be somewhat confusing with her wording during lecture but she is not horrible by any means. I appreciate the fact that there are lots of grades (including extra credit) so even if you do badly on an exam you'll be okay & she is also super accessible if you do need help. Overall an okay class.

This class was frustrating and tedious. Dr. Gallucci can come off as condescending but I don't think she means to be. It's a "flipped class" so you do lessons online and homework in class. I didn't like this because it takes about 1-2 hours do a lesson. There are a ton of grades so even failing a test won't hurt your grade much.

Stay on top of your work, pay attention, and ask questions and you will be fine. Take notes during videos and give yourself AT LEAST 1-2 hours to complete each one. She will review material at the start of class so ask questions then. Debates are a lot of work, make sure work is divided evenly and pay attention to her corrections. She is brilliant!

Even though she's annoying and so is her flipped classroom, I thought it was a lot better than a lab science. Do all the extra credit and try to pay attention to the endless videos and you should be fine. I understand why people didn't like her, but if you are respectful and do the work the class is bearable. The debates were awful though.

Gallucci is TERRIBLE. Stay away! She has this flipped classroom approach and makes you do all the work at home and teach yourself. Then you come to class and she reads powerpoints that are so long. She is confusing and you can't figure out what to study. Most people bomb her tests and she doesn't care.

This teachers spends over half of the class lecturing and it is far from interesting. She reads off of a powerpoint and will sometimes give in class activities. She also gives a lot of homework, but at least they are only graded based on participation. Her tests are hard and impossible to study for because of the large amount of notes taken.

Dr. Gallucci is the most unreasonable professor I have ever had. She teaches this "non-major" course as if we are all biology majors, teaching a demanding & irrelevant amount of info. You do all the lecture outside of class in her "flipped" course. She has all these specific, unreasonable guidelines and makes you feel stupid for any question asked.

She makes you feel extremely stupid, to the point that you will not ask any questions or go to her for help. After studying for over 12 hours she made me cry because she told me I wasn't trying hard enough. She doesn't ask fair test questions and expects you to only focus on her class. She is a terrible person and a shame to educators everywhere.

I would stay far away from her class. Nothing is clear and all she uses are graphics from the book. Unless you have a strong understanding of biology, you're screwed. Asking questions in class is scary because she basically calls you stupid if you don't get it. She will meet outside of class but she doesn't advertise it.

There is a lot of homework, but the class is overall easy and manageable. Homeworks and labs are relevant to material, and she is available to help you and work with you pretty much all the time. I'm very glad I took her class.

If you put effort into the class, you can get an A. Tests aren't easy, but if you study and pay attention they're doable. She also gives extra credit on tests and for attending extra lectures. The downside is a good part of your grade is a group debate. Go to her study sessions and ask questions! She's a nice and helpful lady.

Gallucci isn't as bad as everyone makes her sound. However, she does move too quickly from topic to topic. After a test, you will immediately move onto the next section. Meaning, after your test you will take notes.. I'm not too fond of science, but the class was okay. It was just a little bit much for a class that SCIENCE STUDENTS can't take.

Gallucci's class was very hard to get through, mainly because her lectures are so LONG, stale, and are merely diluted replications of the textbook. Didn't always explain things very well and exams are very specific and rather difficult. Overall, I liked her as a person, but really would not recommend her as a professor.

Had her for Nature of Science class. There were some interesting points made early on and some of the class discussions were interesting, but the rest of the semester just drags on. There is a lot of required reading but you can get by without reading any of it. Class is honestly a waste of time. No homework, though she is unclear with grades

She's really hard if you are a non-major. I didn't do well and actually put alot of time and effort into the class. Make sure to do all the homework-- all those small 3 point assignments add up if you don't do any of them.

I really have no interest in Biology, but she was very helpful and will answer all of your questions to the best of her ability. She gives study guides for the tests, which is helpful, and the tests themselves aren't that bad. Such a sweet lady.
