Comment:

Dr. Moore is fantastic! She made theory seem quite simple, whereas other instructors had not. Not only was she helpful in class, the times I needed her assistance outside of class, she was cheerfully helpful, and never made me feel dumb for asking any question - and like she genuinely cared.

Comment:

Dr. Moore was the only reason I passed Music Theory 3. Her energy and enthusiasm, along with being one of the only teachers I had at UNC who was more interested in helping students than obsessing about her studio prestige, made her one of the neatest people in Fraiser Hall!

Comment:

Dr. Moore was one of my favorite professors. I thought the world was ending when I failed the class with another professor and it set me back an entire semester in my program. But after meeting Dr. Moore, I knew it happened for a reason. She genuinely cares and was willing to help anytime it was needed. Very supportive - awesome!

Comment:

Dr. Moore is (in my mind) the best music theory teacher out there. Her teaching style, attitude, dedication to music, dedication to her students, personality, sense of humor ... well, I could go on ... she's an amazing teacher and you'd be lucky to have her. She's inspirational on so many levels. I wish I could've had her for every course.

Comment:

Best theory teach I could have asked for. I would have never guessed I would like Music Theory. I now teach AP Music Theory because if Dr. Moore. She had to use a bad book, and made the class great, hard and rewarding. Great teacher! Encouraging and honest are what I remember. Wonderful person and teacher.

Dr. Moore was a hard teacher who pushed us to be better than we even thought we could be. Many miss the fact that doing being hard and expecting more is what actually makes a great teacher. I never found her to be unfair, nor did I notice any favoritism. I wouldn't say "hyper" eitherâ€"just energetic and thoroughly loved what she did.

Dr. Moore had higher expectations for her students. Other teachers at UNC didn't care as much as Dr. Moore did in making sure her students had a good ear.Now that I am teaching in High School, I feel like Dr. Moore prepared me for teaching music theory. I feel she was above and beyond and I loved her class!

She DOES play favorites and I don't know what is her standard to find her favorites. She is talented but sometimes seems a bit arrogant. Her hyperness bothered me a bit... made me feel like I was back in preschool. The software she uses to teach is not very helpful either.

She is slightly hiper...we had a sub for most of the year and she came back and completely threw me, at least, dunno about the rest of the class. The Sub had a very different teaching style...and unfortuatly i liked her approach more then i liked Dr Moores...She is just too Crazy
