The most work I have ever done in a single class. Harley gives you numerous long assignments at the same time. Things get stressful the last half of the semester. I learned a lot, but I doubt I would take this class again and do not recomend this place to PTW Minors.

Comment:

Everyone else is crazy. This class was pretty easy. The assignments are usually long, but it is a writing class. She teaches how to be a professional writer, which is important. She is picky about grammar and editing stuff, but if you ask for help, she will help you. She is very nice and understanding. Grades very fair.

Class is not very hard, however, she asks for WAY too much. She is extremely particular about how she wants a paper and is somewhat unclear. It seems as if she wanted to make the class harder that it should be. Would NOT recommend her as a teacher. If you do take the class, kiss her ASS!!

this class was WAY too hard. for a technical writing teacher, i didn't learn much about anything-much less technical writing. she is kind of weird and there is sooo much work...and she seems to only like 2 or 3 students and pretty much hates ALL the rest. this class was terrible.

Tons of work for nothing! Take any other teacher I have heard they do less work and are allowed to work in groups on big assignments. I thought that i would learn usefull info. Just jumped through hoops to get it done. Very picky on grammar and punctuation, she is a technical editor. Beware!

This class is not how it is described in the course catalog. It is memos, business letters, proposals, etc.. There is a large client project which is a lot of work (20% of your grade!). She is a work horse, not an easy grader, but get on her good side and you're fine!

You'll love the class if you enjoy not knowing what's going on, not being taught anything, and doing lots of work that isn't beneficial to you. Oh yeah, she's not the nicest person in the world, either. She does know her stuff, but doesn't convey any of it to you.
