Comment:

He's nice and interesting but hard to understand. He's enthusiastic and knowledgeable but is specific with what he wants. That said, he's VERY vague on how he wants it. I did well and I enjoyed listening to him but was frustrated at times.

Comment:

Business research methods Couldn't do it, had to drop the course after the first week. He seems like genuinely nice guy but I just couldn't stay interested. Not allowed to talk to others or use your cell phone, which is fine, but when you can't manage to pay attention it makes it a really tough course

Very enthusiastic about what he is teaching but he marks based on how he is feeling on a given day. He is quite unfair and doesn't give a marking scheme for assignments but expects students to know that they need to include certain elements in their work. Do not take this class if you are looking for an easy A.

This was a third year research class. As long as you do your assigments and follow the outline you will do fine. lectures were always interesting but not mandatory. He prefers you to go see him over emailing and he is a great source of information and very helpful.

Class lectures often tuned into class discussions as students could easily get him off track by bringing up something interesting. As an easy going student, it was easy to get a B, however for a lot of other students they seemed to have difficulties.

Dr. Dewar is a fun, energetic professor who enjoys what he is doing. Disappointing students. He made the class seem easy and let us slack off, then when it came to the final project he raised expectations and gave us horrible marks. As first year students we are confused enough; it does not help when you give us a project with no clear direction.

Fair professor, powerpoint slides a little cluttered, but definitely knows his material. Not an easy marker, expects quality work, so if you are one for slacking off, don't take his courses. He wants all students to work hard throughout the semester.

He is a little crazy but thats what makes the course fun and interesting. If you want a course that just isn't all work but is fun to, take something from Dewar. He is a little old but he has really (for other words that would fit but because of the filter will not work) good hearing.
