took him to escape camfield and ended up having to share his class with him anyways because he unretired to make more money. wade is knowledgeable n v. interested in bio. slides n funny stories make class interesting. u have to figure out what to make notes of from his lectures tho. fair n helpful. didnt end up using the text much, just go to class

I loved his slides! He would bring in all these amazing photos of his travels. We go to see the blue footed boobie dance! He gets very excited about something and starts laughing at his own jokes and back himself it a corner. VERY CUTE! He is passionate about his job and Bio, and a very wise man

Dr Wade is very intelligent and is willing to help those who try to learn the material. If you take notes (not just what he writes on the board, but what he actually says) than you will do fine. 105 is essential to appreciating the world around you. take that course, his stories are amazing!! extremely smart and knowledgable man!!

Incredibly inspiring, excellent teacher. If you like ecology, and are dedicated to learning, then he's the best you can have. He's got years of practical experience that is very valuable to hear about. If you're looking for a free ride, or expect everything laid out for you like a text book, go back to high school.

A fair marker, but NOT a good teacher; be prepared to learn it all on your own, interpreting what you can from lecture. I found him incapable of explaining things in more than one way, and at times condescending. Once he said to our class, only half-jokingly (direct quote), "How stupid of you for not thinking of that."

He writes his notes on the board as he talks, so you HAVE TO pay attention. His tests are all based on in class notes and not the text. on tests, he wants lots of detail! Overall he's a pretty nice guy... really passionate about biology. If you're good with notes then you'll have no problem in his class=)

Nice old guy with great stories. Really hard to follow though cause you don't know what he's going to test you on and what he's just talking about for fun. I find the curriculum isn't very clear. Tests are cumulative.

Very interesting teacher, and makes the subject clear and the class fun. But he marks hard. If you answer word for word from the text (not as much the notes) you're golden. Seriously after having him at cap, ubc is like a piece of cake.
