The language barrier can be trying with his broken english, but when you get past that he is an excellent and passionate teacher, not to mention entertaining! Tests are easy if you're prepared for them and we only wrote one paper about a book he's writing. A very pleasant man who knows his stuff.

At first he was difficult to understand, but for to the students not wiling to put the effort into understanding a prof, You shouldn't be in school in the first place! He made the class entertaining, even going so far as to belly dance for us once. Recommend him to anyone SERIOUS about University.

He knows his stuff. But he does not talk about the assignments or exams that you have to write. He also likes to cram things in at the last minute. Some of his stuff is very interesting though, if you like the topic it is good, but he also does kinda read from the text. Pprs r easy, exams harder!

I found his classes enlightening and changed my view on many things. Very insightful lectures-especially in his higher lvl. classes. Tests are good and handouts are helpful. Some people have a hard time with taking notes from him and his accent.I do Highly reccommend his classes to everyone

As almost everyone else said, he is VERY hard to understand, pretty boring, and the tests could be written better. On the other hand, he is obviously quite intelligent and has a lot of interesting ideas. Maybe a discussion with him would be interesting, but the class is "not so good".

A super nice guy, but his class is very difficult to do well in! His accent makes him hard to understand and he is very vague on what points are important to study. His test are RETARDED and its hard to even understand his questions because he speaks in broken english. GREAT GUY!hilarious, bad class

He's incredibly hard to understand because of his accent. I find that most times it's hard to pay attention in his class because he's very boring and dry. He's really quite confusing. Passing this class requires spending a lot of time with your textbook.

Very knowledgable, has some funny jokes too. Basically, all the marks on tests come from fill in the blanks - so know terms and sanskrit words and things you didnt even think were important, b/c they'll be on there. Marks assignments very generously.
