Dr. Peterson will forever be my favorite professor at Furman. I am writing this, even though he is now the dean of faculty, in case the opportunity ever arises for another student to take of class of his. TAKE THAT CLASS!

One of the best professors I have had at Furman, really down to earth, super passionate about his subject and totally willing to help you improve over the course of the semester. I would take his class again in a heartbeat.

Dr. Peterson is one of the best professors at Furman. His class was challenging, but not impossible, and made class very interesting. This is one of the most rewarding classes I have had at Furman, and if you can take it with Peterson, sign up right away!

Great professor, really enjoys the material and gives information clearly. No surprises on tests except that the final is more essay based than the other tests. Only thing I didn't like was the 8:30 meeting time

This has been my LEAST favorite class so far taught by my LEAST favorite teacher. Can't follow his lectures. Tests are a mixture of extremely hard and somewhat easy which equals a below average grade for me. Lost complete interest in the subject after the first week. Most demanding professor I've had so far. NOT RECOMMENDED.

DEFINITITELY one of the easier FYW comparatively. One big research paper to write (<10 pages) and maybe a couple of essays. Thats it. Tests were difficult and required lots of studying, NOT a lenient grader. It was a generally positive experience for me, just not for my gpa.

Dr. P does a great job teaching Empirical. The biggest thing to remember is to think of the BIG picture, not necessarily what you are learning then. Lectures aren't as helpful as the book, and he takes forever to get grades back to you, but he knows his stuff and likes when the class asks questions. I'd recommend him, but don't expect a easy A.

Peterson is an entertaining teacher. He rarely uses PowerPoint. It is usually just class discussion. His tests were pretty straight forward with most of the stuff coming straight from lecture. If he spent a whole day on it in class, then it was on the test. Graded slowly but fair. Take him if you get the chance.

I thoroughly enjoyed this class! It took me awhile to catch onto all the economics concepts, but once I got it, I really enjoyed the class! Dr. Peterson makes a potentially very challenging subject fairly easy to understand. He is a great man, and I would highly recommend anyone to take him if you get the chance!

Economics of the environment was an interesting course. We took a field trip to BMW, a lake that had been polluted by industry, and an organic dairy farm. It was awesome.

Well, I didn't think ECN 11 was as easy as those last reviews would suggest...but it WAS one of the best courses that I have taken at Furman. Economics is hard, but once you start to get it, it's really interesting. Excellent prof, excellent course.
