Ken is very knowledgeable in workplace but goes through concepts very quickly. Lectures can get boring but the cases are very interesting! Quizzes are quite tough so make sure you read and understand the cases/concepts. The drawings on the board didn't make a lot of sense though. Overall, great prof :)

Ok, so often times the drawings on the board don't make much sense when you go back into your notes and review them and the first 45 minutes of lecture aren't jaw-dropping. But, the tests are easy and he ends most classes with a real case he has worked on, which is fun if you allow yourself to get into it. Do the reading before class, it's light.

Thornicroft is horrible!! Every class I went to I left wondering what I had just learnt. Learned more from my textbook, than I learned from him.

Very clear at explaining concepts. MClass really interesting. Assignments and paper were very fair. Midterms and final were all T/F, multiple choice or choose from the list provided. Paper was not too difficult. My favourite class and prof in UVic Business!

Thornicroft explains everything in the course clearly and logically. Any major questions that students ask outside of class are answered in emails to all students. He taught a three hour class on Friday mornings and he made it worth going to and listening the whole class. Just don't overthink his exam questions. My favourite prof in UVic Business.

Very talented instructor with an astounding depth of knowledge of law. If you demonstrate interest in this subject, Ken will make it fun for you. Warning: his final's a tough one and worth 75%. Don't buy the textbook - he doesn't use it.

I enjoyed this class. Great delivery of material; this prof obviously knows what he is talking about. There is a great deal to be taken away from this too-short course, but Thornicroft makes sure that you cover the wide range of material in the time provided.
