if you keep up with her assignments its an easy class. 3 hour lecture gets mind numbingly boring but she isn't that hard of a professor.

Have to read the textbook word for word in order to pass her test I would study 2 hours a day in this class and still only get a D on her tests. The tests are based off specific information from the textbook. I have never studied so hard for a a class and only just barely pass. I would not recommend this professor.

Do not need to show up to do well in this course, just be there the class before the test so she can tell you what is on it. Lecture is not very helpful. Gives lots of very time consuming homeworks, but overall learn a lot in this course. She coughs non stop as well, so prepare yourself

If you want to do well in this class you need to use the textbook because her lectures aren't very useful. There is a fair amount of work, and if you study, the tests aren't overly difficult. The rest of the assigments are on Launchpad which isn't too much of a pain. Overall, the class isn't too bad but I wouldn't necessarily recommend her.

She is not a very helpful profesor. The exams are a little difficult. The biggest issue is Launchpad. That's what is used for a large part of your grade. It's possible to do well, if you have extra time on your already busy hands. Heed the warning and stay away. If you can, try to take this class with Karen Glushko. Stay away from Laporte!!!!!

Kenna will go on and on about how flashcards are going to be your downfall but I personally went up from a 76 to an 86 on exams once I started using them. It's super important to read the book. Also as long as you do the online stuff you don't need to score super high on exams to get a good grade in the class.

I had Kenna for PSY 101. Her lectures were very long as it was a 3 hour class. Although she says you'll be there the whole time, you never are. That being said her lectures were useless until it came to the final review class which I recommend attending. Other than that class, don't go and read the chapter and show up for tests and you'll be okay.

Great professor-really cares about her students and is a genuine person. The tests are challenging (only four, lowest one dropped) and therefore the final is optional. STUDY FOR TESTS! Read the textbook, this year she instituted Launchpad and you have quizzes due every week online.

This class is really not that bad. The lectures are definitely long but they just take getting use to. Dr. Laporte is generally really understanding & will provide help if you need it. One chapter of reading is assigned each week along with an online quiz on it, 3 exams, and optional final to drop your lowest text grade. If you study you'll be fine

Very unfriendly and not personable. She often gives personal stories during the entire lecture, and reads word-for-word out of the textbook. Not knowledgable about the subject and looks all of your questions up if you have them. Rarely has a powerpoint. No need to go to the lectures, only go for tests. Does not take attendance. Wouldn't recommend.

Do not take her 3 hour course. It's boring, she talks about herself more than the text and rarely looks up to see when people actually have questions. Exams are multiple choice and the quizzes are taken online. The major project is a powerpoint at the beginning of the semeseter which Laporte still didn't have graded when we took our final.

The 3 hour class is a waste of time. You honestly need to read the textbook in order to pass this class because nothing she says in class is really relevant to the quizzes or tests. She is a nice person, just not a good professor.

Class time is an absolute waste of time. The three hour class is a living hell. Nothing that she speaks about in class is ever on the test. As long as you read the textbook on your own and do well on the quizzes you will be fine. Even if you go to every single class but don't open the book you will get an easy F.

She is a nice, but to do well in the class you have to do a lot of studying on your own time. She tends to talk a lot about her own stories that relate to the topic but has nothing to do with what will be on the test. Her tests are specific but she sends out emails telling the basics of what will be on the test.

Horrible teacher. Talks about herself all the time! We NEVER complete the whole chapter in class, always have to finish it on out own time. I went to her for help once and she told me I need to study harder. Really? I had no idea! She's no help at all! Switch out of her class ASAP! Basically she needs to be fired...

Not a bad teacher. Tells way too many stories when she should just go out of the book. Attendance is never taken. Tests are a little difficult. But overall not too bad. And the final is optional!

Not terrible but not the best. Talks more of examples than the actually textbook notes. Tests are used through the notes and the readings in order to do well! Attendance not mandatory but you need to hear what she says because it ends up on the test. Keeps class interactive but too much about her life.

All she talks about is HER life revolving around psychology. Barely passed, even a tutor couldn't help me pass her tests
