Best English Instructor Ever. He basically marks your papers before they're due if you visit him in office hours. Lectures were awesome. He's very passionate about the books he chooses. This was the first English class ever that I look forward to going to. Take it with him if you can!!

Cervelli is the best prof that I have ever had!! He was overwhelming at first, but is totally passionate about English, and gets YOU interested too. I would reccommend taking a class with this guy- I was taking English because I HAD to, but now I'm signed up for another one of his courses next semester!

AMAZING teacher. Absolutely inspiring. I took this class intending for it to be an easy class to use as a GPA booster, but thanks to Dr. Cervelli I ended up enjoying it more than any of my other classes. If you're planning on taking an English class, take anything he's teaching. I guarantee you won't regret it.

He is very helpful if you go talk to office hours. In class he's great you never know what is going to happen. One of the harder markers I've come across, you really have to work for the A since he admits he's a perfectionist.

FANTASTIC prof.! Kind and caring-encouraged student discussion and made you feel like you were really adding something to the class. I took 354(poetry), during spring, with him and he made you enjoy and appreciate a sometimes daunting subject. Take any class you can with him!!:)

Absolutely amazing. I have NEVER had enthusiasm for poetry before, but Cervelli makes it SOOO interesting! And on top of that, he encourages discussion. He will always consider a point of view, and students really feel comfortable having discussions both in class, and in private meetings with him. For essays, he might give you a chance to rewrite!

I am so glad I got to take a senior class with Cervelli. Easily one of the best profs at the university. He clearly loves what he's teaching and his enthusiasm is contagious. We studied some authors who aren't "mainstream" which was awesome. Take a class with this prof if you can!

AWESOME!! AWESOME!! AWESOME!! Dr. Cervelli is funny, witty, and a great professor. I went into this class expecting it to be on essay writing. It ended up being on NATURE WRITING :S I was so mad until I sat through one of his lectures. Now I read nature writing for fun!! Awesome guy.
