Captain Calculus! Great professor but he can be a little slow and gets off topics most of the time. Pay attention in class though because the problems he covers will show up on the midterms almost exactly!

Comment:

Kellum is a lovable guy and is interested in student success, but he isn't the best teacher. He's all over the place, he goes off on long tangents, and his teaching is slightly directed towards the CS kids. Besides that, the class is easy and totally passable. Show up to class cuz he'll help with homework and some in class problems show up on tests

Don't even attend the lectures unless it's the day before an exam or final. He'll tell you what's going to be on the exams, and let's you use a cheat sheet. Nice guy, but cannot teach.

Kellum was very helpful, I happened to pass with an A- but that's because I attended class everyday, and paid attention. When I needed help, I went to his office and asked. He makes jokes, and goes off on tangents, but he is a very brilliant man, and I'm glad I took him.

Sadly he will retire this year. I am glad that I take his class, much easier compare to other professors. If you are taking this class, your advantage is webassign, which is something you can learn and study for exams. However, people who are new to cal may be struggle with his teaching, self studying is required

As much fun as he is to talk to, his teaching could use some work. He is very nice and wants his students to pass, but lectures are dull and hard to follow. HW is easy and online, tests aren't too bad but he doesn't give very much partial credit which can ruin your grade. A decent teacher, a funny character but not the best for the class.

I went to every single class ( I am not good at math. he had a great personality although he is not your adverage teacher, he cares about his students grades AND IS VERY EASY. he needs to retire. most people dont even bother showing up except for the tests because homework is online, those problems are out of the textbook. he's horrible at explaining and may spend an entire class period trying to work on one or two problems from the homeowrk

I could not stand this class. The work was easy, and all homework was done online. he was very slow, and hard to understand because he would not focus on the work. Most of the time he did the homework with you in class. Can be an easy class if you know what your doing, but not recommended. he's too old to be teaching

First time I've had a teacher who was on crack. I liked attending his class though, a gurenteed laugh or two (gotta love his cell phone policy). Not a hard class, you'll learn the basics that you need to learn.

AWEFUL. He's like Ron White on crack. He once spent about 15 minutes arguing with a student about whether an answer he gave to a problem was right or wrong. Teacher wrong, student right. Still couldn't admit it. Worst thing about it, it wasn't even his area of speciality.

REALLY EASY CLASS. All homework is online. If you screw up the homework, you can re-do it several times untill you get it right. A couple easy midterms, and a final. You can use a page or two of notes on all the tests!! He tends to go off topic, and also tries to be funny....but he isnt. Overall a very easy A.

i hate online hw. No one shows up to class bcuz its useless. All the hw is online (wit walk through problems) so you never have to open the book AT ALL and all he does in class is go over the hw... sounds great but online hw sucks. only take this class if you need an easy math class to finish GE

Not a very good teacher. Very unclear and lectures are boring. Avoid taking this class especially if you do not know much of the material already.
