Very quiet and old fashioned guy. The class isn't easy but its not ridiculously hard either. He does a fair job of explaining concepts and giving examples during lecture. Exams aren't anything crazy and he's a fair grader (I highly recommend looking at his old exams in the tutoring center).

Some students were unhappy with is style, but I loved it. He answered any homework questions, lectured on new material, gave a quiz or test and we were done. If you questioned anything wrong on a quiz or test, if you were right he'll give you points back. Overall, a really good teacher and definitely knows what he's doing.

Do not expect amazing lectures, they are monotonous. But his practice exams are Extremely helpful in preparation for exams. I took class in the summer!

One of the best professors at Oakland for math. He writes everything on a chalkboard and even writes paragraphs to explain. He doesn't try to trick you. His tests and quizzes are mostly problems straight from the homework. He has a very flat voice so make sure to take notes gregariously. He is worth taking to pass Calc 1.

By far one of the best professors at Oakland for math. He's very clear and his lectures are super explanatory. It gets confusing at times, but that's because it's math. My favorite part was that he didn't try and trick/stump his students with bogus questions, just clear and straight to the point material. He hand writes all of his tests.

He's ok. Lectures are as fun as waiting at the Secretary of State, but they're always clear. No mandatory homework, but I recommend you do the assignments; they will help you understand the material. Keep your phone on silent, because if he hears it make a sound, he will put you to shame. No surprises on exams and has a review the lecture before.

I'll never forget the day Andrews laughed in class. No, I'm not joking. He broke character and allowed a laugh to sneak out. The class was speechless. Tension was relieved. Pigs flew. Good Prof tho.

Professor Andrews is a good professor. His lectures are clear and he takes time each class to answer questions on the homework. His quizzes and exams are pretty easy if you know what you're doing.

Not the most approachable guy. Very bland lectures. Still teaches pretty well, though. Grading and homework loads are fair (he's picky on tests though- be sure to show all your work without truncating notation).

This was my second time talking calculus and if I had had Andrews the first time, I would have passed. The grade is based on three exams, a final, and quizzes. He gives more quizzes than are put into the grade so he automatically drops some and he curves the class at the end. Definitely pay attention in class and put in a lot of time studying too.

Professor Andrews truly knows his calculus and made it very easy to understand the concepts. I took calculus in high school and most of the class was a review but he taught in a way that made a lot of sense. Homework quizzes every Friday but they are problems directly from the homework, same for exams. Went over HW questions before lecture

I had Andrews for Calc 1. His lectures were always very organized and clear, and the homework he assigned (book problems) was very helpful for preparing for the exams. I'm not too sure about how good the other professors teaching this class are, but I would definitely recommend Andrews for anyone taking Calc 1.

I took APM 255 & his exams every semester are pretty much the same. He will change some numbers but asks the same questions. He's not a bad professor but he expects you to know everything so if you ask a question, you may feel that lol He assigns HW problems (not graded) to help with exams, DO THEM! It helps so much when it comes to the exams

He is the most boring professor you will ever take. His notes make you feel like you are in an English class and his voice is very monotone, so you have the feeling of wanting to go to sleep. However is old tests are available in the library and he doesn't change much from year to year. Study the test and you'll do fine.

Ive had Prof. Andrews for both MTH254and APM255. While he is tough, he is very fair. He will work with you to answer any questions you may have. The tests are material that was found on the homework assignments and taught in lecture. While his class can be quite dry, the exams and the grading for the exams are very straight forward and reasonable.

SEEMS INTIMIDATING BUT IS NOT AT ALL. He is very clear in his lectures and assigns homework problems. Answers questions from the homework at the beginning of class. Ask the tough questions, all other book questions and answers are on Slader (.com). Old exams can be found in the tutoring center and are nearly identical to the current one.

Professor Andrews isn't a bad professor but he isn't the greatest. I failed the class but that was my fault. He's not the easiest person to talk to, he can make you feel like you are dumb if you ask a question. The exams are based off the homework. Do the homework and you should have no problem passing.

One of the better math professors at OU. His lectures are very boring and he will write almost anything he says on the chalkboard. In class notes were not very helpful to me, but if you do all the hw the tests are pretty fair. He does't try to trick you or ask ridiculous things. Usually they're just like the hw with different numbers involved.

He is one of the best math professors I have had at OU. The lectures do get boring sometimes so take notes. It will keep you awake. Go to his office hours if you need help - he is very willing to help if you take the initiative to ask.

This guy is GREAT! He is very clear of expectations and there are not any surprises on the midterms or the final. He may seem intimidating but he is really nice! I have been to his office for help and he was always very helpful. Would definitely take him again.
