If you get a chance to take a class with him- take it! Easy going guy as long as you do what is expected of any student and is funny too. Took 2 classes with him and if I had anyone else for stats I don't know how I would've made it..

His lectures are quite dry. Tests are kind of confusing, but you should do well if you read the textbook and understand the material. He also gives a very small easy research assignment which is designed for you to get 100% which is worth 15% of the grade. Gives a bonus assignment worth 2%. Very nice guy. Overall, wants to see students succeed.

Taking environmental Psych with him cannot be any more ironic, as the subject is about optimal environment for intelectual stimulation, learning and interaction. He has boring lectures, doesn't know how to teach STUDENT centred instead of PROFESSOR and will keep everyone on the tip of their toes for the rediculus exams that he designs. Stay away!

Took 4 courses with Kevin and pretty much enjoy them so far. The lectures can be dry and quizzes may be confusing sometimes, but the final group project can really bump your grades up. Kevin is very passionate about teaching human factors design/environmental psyc topics. He's also a fair grader.

I am a borderline student and I got a B in this course. It is a really fun course to take and the group paper was really fun to do, except the other group project was a pain in the ass when you have bad groupmates. Overall, this was a really fun course. There is a field trip as well which was a really interesting experience. Take this course :)

His exams are hard, and his MCs sometimes make no sense at all, but the group project can really bring your marks up by a lot.

I took this because Kevin was awesome for PSYC 2300. I was interested in enviro psyc prior and was excited to take this class. Unfortunately, many of the assignment guidelines were unclear and exam multiple choice answers were ambiguous. He is also not open to changing marks. I'm an A student, but this class was incredibly hard.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! prof does not show up to office hours, REFUSES to discuss grades, and offers absolutely NO CRITERIA for projects. He acts like he's doing you a favor by showing up to his own office hours one time during the entire semester. He is by far the most unprofessional prof I've had

He is not approachable, when you approach him for help/clarification he makes you feel dumb telling you that the answer tote question is in the notes or text book. His exams are very, very hard and has misleading/trick questions.

He's very particular about the kinds of answers you give in exams, not to mention the fact that exam questions can be vague and misleading in the first place. Quote the textbook just to be on the safe side. Otherwise, be prepared to be bored out of your mind.

Kevin is an awesome prof who cares about his students. Not an easy A, BUT if you listen to what he says will be on the tests, he pretty much covers everything to the t. He spent endless time with students after class - well into the evening. Very motivating guy - especially if he sees that you care. Honoured to have been taught by him.

Not helpful. Boring. Defensive. Marks on a hidden agenda. Not an easy A. Is not willing to discuss your mark. Trick questions on the tests that were not in the notes. No criteria for projects and then marks hard. Did not give the bonus marks b/c the class average was too high. Put a cap on the final project mark (20/25) b/c marks were too high.

I am awful at math, and so went into psych 2300 with some trepidation. But Kevin Hamilton was a great teacher and really helped to make sure that we all understood the concepts. There are five tests and no presentations or projects, but it really is essential that you stay on top of the textbook readings.

Does problems with the class which is SO HELPFUL for a stats class. AND leaves us with time to do hw IN class, in case we have questions. Very nice guy, knows his stuff. Tests are not too easy and there's 5 of them. But the good news is: no projects! Recommended!
