Comment:
This class is SO easy if you follow his thorough schedule and give minimal effort. Very generous and gives TONS of extra credit, even just for showing up to class sometimes. I didn't need to take the final due to all the extra credit. The material itself is boring, but he is so unique and funny it was worth just listening to him. Highly recommend.

He's a really fun guy, but the subject is super boring. He tells you everything you need to do for tests, quizzes and the semester project. The class is hybrid and the in-class lectures aren't available online & sometimes he gives extra credit in class so it's good to go.

Don't bother emailing. Gives smartass responses and wants you to memorize every little detail on a 75 question test.

Really a caring and empathetic professor. Talk to him if you have a problem because he'll help you in any way he can. Material is BORING but he makes it fun. Exams are challenging bc of the amount of material covered. Follow his exam reviews and you'll be fine.

I took this class as a hybrid & it ended up being the most work out of all of my classes. It was bearable, but all of his instructions, online lectures & emails were PARAGRAPHS long. He gives good instruction but you HAVE to be willing to read and you have to keep up with your work, considering you will have around 3 assignments due a week

Tests have a lottttt of short answer questions. If you don't study, you won't pass. He offers so much extra credit, on the test and in general. Everything but the tests are easy. His lectures are bad because he goes too fast and it is too much information. He means well

A lot of online work. Tons of things due at random times that you will be unaware of. He's hard to follow in class to tell what he is lecturing for the test, or what he is giving for a fun fact.

He is super goofy and cares about his students. He gives a very clear and detailed outline of exactly what will happen during the semester with lots of extra credit opportunities. His tests are long and have MC and Short Answer, but he gives a powerpoint of every topic covered. Take advantage of it and study the powerpoints! Easy A if you study!

Associate prof acting like a real prof when he's really just a glorified paper grader. Arrogant & rude, makes you feel stupid and doesn't back his claims with anything substantial. Heavy load of info, redundancy, waste of a class.

I expected his rating to be much higher. I would blame the millennials, but then I wouldn't be practicing what we learned in our cyber-bullying lesson. Anyway, prof is by far the best I've had at TxState. Fantastically structured class. You know exactly what you need to do and need to know. What's the best thing about booleans?? ;-) sum 18

His test are very challenging. Majority of the test is short answer but there is some multiple choice. So if you dont know the material front and back youre basically screwed on the short answer part. Other than that, hes a funny guy and if you go to his offices hours he does help or answer any questions you might have.

INFORMATION OVERLOAD! This professor's notes/assignments/projects are worded in the most redundant and convoluted way possible. Be prepared to basically read an entire novel just to understand instructions he is trying to give. Oh and his! use of! EXCLAMATION POINTS !after every other !sentence makes me want!! to SCREAM. Nice guy but no, just no

This class isn't for procrastinators/students looking for an easy A... he makes you work for your grade with 2 quizzes every week, fill-in-the-blank/short answer/MC exams that you HAVE to study for and a major group project that's due at the end of the semester. Attendance isn't mandatory but I suggest going because he gives you hints for exams.

he's had bad reviews and i was not looking forward to his lectures all semester but i have to say he is a really nice (and quirky) professor; yes the course is difficult because there is a lot of information and the exam has open-ended questions, but he also gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. he is always willing to help you too

If you want to feel inferior at every turn this is the professor for you! When you start to ask questions he does not deem worthy he gets snippy and rude. Dont expect any helpful feedback, just vague directions in something you have no clue about.

Jetton is by far the worst professor I've ever had. His communication skills are non existent, he can't stay on topic at all. Tests over his rambling lectures, even though it's a hybrid class. A shining example of why TxState's CIS department is a laughing stock nationwide. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Tons of material, with a barely competent instructor.

Dr Jetton is always busy more than you expect. He is willing to help you with things you don't understand though. Not in a way you go and ask him to do your assignment! Show him the amount of work you have done and he will help with what is stopping me and freaking you out. COBOL is hard though but not his fault you do need to work hard for it.

This class was hard for me. There's a group project due at the end of the semester, which of course, nobody does any work on it until the week it is due. Tests are hard and are mostly short answer and essay questions. There are questions from lecture that you will only know if you go to class. Tons of quizzes on TRACS based on the reading/lecture.

Lectures were super boring and tests were super hard to me. Prof was very nice and funny but the topic itself was hard to pay attention to. I would not recommend taking this class in the morning if you are not a morning person and can help it. He has a lot of extra credit opportunities but the tests were a lot of essay questions.

Some think hes a little weird/even creepy (prob the pony tail) but his awkwardness is actually hilarious if u can bear it. Lenient/understanding if u communicate. Mostly lecture/exam + 1 group project. Hybrid Online class 1.5 mtgs/wk and 1.5 online lecture. I missed class like 8x and got an A by emailing w/ excuses and aceing each test/wkly quiz
