Very hard teacher, but very fun. I enjoyed every class and I was never bored. It was the first history class where I actually learned something. You definetly can't slack off though; you have to pay attention.

WOW! Kragenbrink is the most difficult professor I have ever had out of my 3 years at CSUSB! His tests are extremely hard and I found that his lectures had nothing to do with the exams. He likes failing students..

He is biased. He is not helpful to the students. He likes to fail 50% of the class. He talks fast and his lectures is very unclear.

I had Dr. K a few times and he is one of the most AWESOME teachers I've ever had. He can be difficult and expects a lot but he's very interesting. You can actually sit through the lecture and ENJOY IT!! Highly recommend him, but be prepared for reading and

All of you who think Kragenbrink is hard try taking the same class with Dr. Barkan. I got a B+ after failing Barkan's class and enjoyed the discussion. Very memorable class

Comment:
My interest in the material was more influenced by the texts than the instruction. It's a seminar class in name only; discussion is graded but more demanded than encouraged. Classmates expressed confusion about a disconnect between what he said and what he meant, particularly for exams. Bias is obvious. Otherwise, good course for those who stated.

His classes are very interesting although there are a lot of notes to take, but if you keep up with the reading it's good. The book he picked it's very interesting actually. History isn't my fav. subject, but he really stimulated my interest in class. You have to attend class to pass. And yes, poor grammar does tick him off.

He took what I already found to be fascinating material and increased my interest considerably. He has an obvious passion for the material. Quite a bit of reading and some writing, though nothing outrageous. Overall I consider him an excellent professor.

I don't think he's difficult, but the subject matter is. Lots to cover in a short time. If you're not a decent writer, don't bother with one of his classes. Poor writting skills kinda tick him off.

Excellent prof with a real passion for subject matter. Teaches you how to internalize material and make it your own. Tough grader but very fair. Wants each student to succeed but you have to earn it. Prof with a vested interest.

I found Dr. Kragenbrink to be a very fair professor. Yes, the course is challenging...we are cramming half of U.S. History in 9 weeks! I recorded lectures and took notes. I never scored less than an A on any exam. He is very generous when it comes to correcting ambiguous questions on exams.

He's a JERK! Lies about what's going to be on the test! Grades your paper based on what he desires your english skills to be and not really the content! Will confuse you on purpose and deny his lecture if you quote him in the paper. Confusses his lecture with the book! Eill fail you if HE PLZ'S
