He is the best. He may seem like a hard edged dude, but if you get to know him, no one else will fight harder for you. He is by far the best professor Ive ever had. Nothing but respect for this quirky, joke slinging maniac!

Very smart and very knowledgeable but arrogant and condescending. I was self conscious when he always pointed out my struggles with the course. Take someone else for the intro courses. Take Mcintyre if he's the only choice for upper level courses.

Dr. McIntyre teaches part time at UMBC. And his class was once a week at 7:10PM... did not sound fun at all but his personality and way of lecturing made the class more interesting! He truly knows his material! Taking really good notes is important will get you an A!

Comment:

Dr. McIntyre is super intelligent and really knows the material that he's teaching. However, the content is hard and it's hard to see how what's in the textbook correlates to what he's teaching. Make sure you take notes and don't be afraid of his behavior in class, he's actually really approachable and wants to make sure that you know the material.

This guy is very smart, knows the topic like the back of his hand (lectures every day without looking at his notes once). He is able to explain the material in a way that is easy to understand (plain English instead of technical terms). Easily the best professor I had at McDaniel. Attendance not mandatory, but you definitely want to be there.

At first he is very intimidating. Problem sets are very hard, but if you go to his office hours he is very helpful. Average for 1st test was 48%,and everyone thought they were failing, but he curves at the end. His teaching is clear and your notes will be immaculate.
