There is a lot of positive things to say about this professor. She is a nice person and right away articulates how to pass the class. However, she procrastinates posting grades. Final grades are almost due and the last posted grade was from a speech four months ago. Frustrating for those who need the credit on their transcript in a timely fashion!

Mrs. Brems was a wonderful professor, she is very encouraging and supportive to all her students. She gives you chances to make up work if you miss class, but don't miss too many. Participation matters because this is Communication! Her reviews before exams are super helpful and fun.

I absolutely loved Brems for COM131. She was very laidback and allowed the class to be social and still get the material done. One thing to keep in mind, is that she will not tell you your homework but rather will expect you to know what to do based on the syllabus. If you keep that in mind and pay attention to her input you will have an easy A.

Speaking at all for most if scary. Rather if you found this class easy, you didn't challenge yourself. Brems is a comfortable coach, and she allows ample opportunity to practice speaking. I took this class during summer, and no one in the class would have been friends otherwise. Yet, it was an incredible group, and Brems fueled that fortune.

I'm terrified of public speaking but she's so wonderful. She's hilarious and makes you feel 100% comfortable with answering questions and talking in class. There is only one project to do that requires speaking in front of the class and it's actually fun. She always has stories to tell and she's charismatic. I'd take her class over and over.

Easy class. Chapter responses due each week that are graded by completion. You really don't need to read the whole chapter. One major presentation that she grades very easily. Two tests, but you play Jeopardy before and it has most the test questions in it. Interesting class and prof. Takes attendance each class. Would recommend to anyone.

Best Class ever! I didn't think I would like it because I am not that talkative, but this class was awesome. You make great friends in the class and share life stories. Easy A. We didn't have a final exam. We had 1 test, but we reviewed the test before it so it was really easy because it was word for word on the test.

Absolute best college professor ever. Would recommend to any student taking a communications class. Works with students, shares stories from her own life that were actually fun to listen to. Actually sad to be leaving the class. I advise everyone to take her :)

Super easy class. Great teacher. she grades super easy too. I got all As. 4 speeches total. That class is like my family. I am gonna miss it. Mine was 3 hours long on Fridays and I always got out like 1.5 hours early. The test are all common sense. 3 total. No final exam. Became a better speaker for sure.

I thought she was a great teacher. She was entertaining, lots of class participation. We only had 2 tests the whole semester and played Jeopardy prior to both for a review. The Jeopardy questions are straight off the tests. I'd take her again in a second.

Had her for fundamentals of public speaking. I missed the first week of class because I thought there was a break from summer 1 to summer 2. She could have kicked me out but she let me stay. Wonderful lady, does a great job teaching one of the best Ive had!

I really enjoyed this class. She loves to tell stories, and they don't always relate to the topic, but it really eases the learning of the class. As long as you do the work, you will pass with flying colors. The hardest thing is the presentation, which isn't as hard as it seems at first. I would recommend this class to anyone.
