Lectures were impossible to sit through as she'd go on and on about simple topics and then speed through difficult ones leaving you frustrated and confused. She requires her own book and lab which are not very useful at $100 each. She then has a lot of her information in pre-recorded labs to watch later. She makes her class too hard for no reason.

Largen does this fun thing where she'll assign hour long online lectures to watch outside of class that are a lot of rambling and tangents. Her in class lectures are similar. There's in class participation that's mostly online at the end of class. She makes the class unnecessarily intense for a 100 course. CTRL f is your best friend to get an A.

This class is an easy A. Largen posts study guides that cover the material that you can use to help study and if you just do those and show up to class to listen to some her key points you'll definitely get an A. However, be prepared for extremely boring and drawn out lectures. She is over the top when providing examples and goes on tangents often.

This class is an easy A if you have ever taken a basic high school science class. The materials for this class are very expensive but you can't do the class without them. She took attendance/participation through tophat and you can literally just wake up and lay in bed and do them.

She posts everything onto Blackboard, her drawings/diagrams were helpful, and she provides learning + study guides. However, her point grading system was tedious, she was too detail-oriented, and the class materials were expensive (top hat, lab manual, and online textbook). Study everything on her learning + study guides and you will ace her exams.

Uh this class is not an easy a. I took it because you know evpp 100 would be an easy science/lab for a requirement but thats just not true at all. This class is hard. Not to mention the 10 page lab report. If you're thinking about this class for the science elective just take geology 1/2 instead. Much easier.

This class is an easy A with an asterisk. However, the way the course is structured makes this course a living hell for college students. The expenses to take this course easily exceeded $300 in supplies and the MWF at 8:30 AM, with a 3 hour lab is a painful price to pay. Information is high school science 101 so I didn't learn anything either.

worst professor ever! lectures dont tell at all, review slides dont help either. exams are very heavy in the grade and are VERY difficult, makes attendance pretty much mandatory even though she takes 140 points from it but gives 205 points. also you cannot miss lab at all. had a 104 degree fever missed class and could not make up my work at all!

This is a very lecture heavy class (possibly with a lab), where your grade is primarily based on several large tests and a bunch of small weekly homework assignments. She was reasonable, but also at times was a tough grader. Fairly boring class. I learned more in the lab section (taught by someone else) than the lecture sections.

Prof Largen is so sweet. The material is basic and she does a great job of explaining it and adding her own quirky examples. The quizzes that are due each sunday get to be tedious and the way she takes attendance can actually be to your benefit if you want to skip. Don't depend on the powerpoints to get you an A and just show up to class.

I took this class because I needed a lab science credit and heard that evpp 110 was an easy class. The material is definitely easy but Largen is not that great. Apart from giving extremely difficult tests, she is very uncharismatic and it is very hard to learn anything in her class.

Really a nice lady and EVPP110 is super easy. The class is just expensive to take because of tophat/textbook/labbook. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities.

Take this class if you're rich. Makes you pay so much for a million different useless materials. Thought she was nice until she freaked out and started taking 6+ points off tests for not using last name first name order. If not enough people are in lecture she'll hand out group work the last 3 mins. Currently have an A but most difficult tests ever

Dr. Largen is a tough grader. you really have to know and understand the topics that she places on her exam reviews because the material on the test is not the same as it is represented in the lecture. She uses top hat and in class activities at random to check attendance.

Expensive class to take because of access codes and the lab manual. But gives good lectures and makes everything super simple, she really cares about the students.

Dr. Largen's teaching style makes it very easy to understand what she means. I especially like that she teaches through analogy, relating course content to everyday concepts. If you still don't understand what she means, just ask, and she will explain it so that you do. Expect to find the statements she repeats on the tests. Such a sweet professor!

Runs on a point system, have to show up for participation points in questions she'll ask during lecture, a lot of hw, but very easy, a lot of answers can be found online, lab is chill except the paper but its not as bad as they make it seem. Tests are a bit tedious but not too challenging if you study somewhat, don't need to study too hard, boring

The lecture was pretty easy but the tests were kinda difficult. On her tests, you needed to choose multiple answers to get one question right (like choose from I, II, III, IV). There's in class assignments and tophats so it's better to go to class for extra points. I didn't buy the textbook and was fine. The lab required a lot of work but was easy.

This is the easiest science class you could take but it will cost ya-you must buy a lab book that she wrote (if you took EVPP110 with her, that book is not used in EVPP 111 so you must buy another one). Also, you have to buy two online codes (do not buy the textbook-never opened it once and got an A). USE QUIZLET there are flashcards for exams & hw
