Very Hard teacher, he wants you to do well explains concepts, you do the homework no problem, his tests are like 10x the hardness of homework questions. Yeah you can figure them out, maybe 1 question for the whole period. Don't understand why he does theory in math. Taught math 1013 when i signed up for 1300 and taught a bit of 1014 (in "1300")

I really love the fact that he wants his students to understand core concepts about math. His tests are extremely hard and long, BUT he is a great and helpful professor and he makes sure core concepts stick(he'll continously repeat important concepts).

Attend lectures! I like how he wants the students to understand the material and not memorize. However, he was just too hard to follow. Didn't leave lecture notes up long enough for me to add his written extras to the ones I printed. Complains a lot about the highschool math system. Okay we get it but it's not our fault.

Maltman really wants students to understand the material. He does not involve the students at all, and is impossible to follow. He does, however, help you if you try.

His method of teaching is very good. He wants students to understand math rather than memorizing. you may find his lectures boring because he talks non-stop and very fast.

He is a decent professor who definitely knows calculus in its entirety, however as the general consensus seems to be he is not a push-over. He is easy to understand and if you pay attention when he talks can give you a new perspective, but he definitely is not for weak or lazy students.

Notes are not clear at all. I suggest reading the textbook before each lecture depending on the topic you're covering. His lectures are not very clear and he moves pretty quickly through his notes which are pretty messy. His tests are very very hard and tricky.

This prof is somewhat in between. He has his good ways and his bad. First off I think its great how he takes the time to try to get to know his students. It helps in the sense that if u fall behind he encourages u 2 do better. But he can be so anal about the smallest things and loves to talk a lot and go over his time! If u work hard then he's easy

Although it's impressive that he knows the material so utterly well, it seems he has trouble understanding that most students are still in the early stages of truly understanding the calculus. If you're going to take any course with him, make sure you are committed because even a talented math student can completely botch one (or all) of his tests

Not a good instructor. In the course I took with him he managed to take the class enrolment from 20 students down to 4 as a result of his unclear teaching and unwillingness to provide adequate support. This was a class of graduate/advanced undergraduate students (i.e. neither dumb nor unmotivated).

The prof is pretty gud.He has got rules that are equal for all.He is never unfair to anyone. He is very smart that is why when he teaches people find it hard to understand him,i think he should try to work on that because students are first time learners they re there to learn not to evaluate!

had him for math 2015 and again for math 4241. His tests are tough but he is generous with part marks. Happy to give help when asked. He mostly teaches from his lecture notes which can be boring. If you're willing to work VERY hard you can learn a lot!
