Extremely smart and knowledgeable. He made Grammar and Proofreading somewhat enjoyable, but be prepared to be inundated with pedantic rules.

Kim is a very engaging professor, but Grammar and Proofreading is a really difficult class. He made grammar as interesting as it could get, but the content was difficult to grasp and the tests were quite hard.

Kim is a nice and funny professor but his Grammar course is very confusing. I am an A student and I got a C+ even though I attended every lecture. I really wished this course had a tutorial :/

Took his Grammar and Proofreading class. I will never forget his tales of today's culture "senselessly spilling apostrophic blood" with uses like Cd's lol He kept it interesting and Dunja was a great T.A.

Has you falling off your seat laughing. Great guy. Offers every chance to succeed in his course. Entire course is focused on two books - LARGE emphasis on the Moonstone. Even the readings are interesting. Lecture outlines are given and any info NOT on the outlines are not on the exam. Lectures are not mandatory but are too entertaining to miss :)

Witty and fun. Exactly what you need in a Grammar teacher. I enjoy his cracks about stuffy grammarians and traditional ways of teaching grammar. I learn alot more with his methods than out of a textbook.

He's witty (intimidatingly so), he's intelligent, he's animated, he's helpful- everything that is necessary in a grammar professor. I'm glad I have him for my 8:30-1130 Monday morning class-any other professor and I would die a little inside every time I went to class. He's intimidating only because he is so quick, but I'd definitely recommend him!

Kim was fantastic. I took this class merely because, as a transfer student, I still needed 3 credits of first year English. I was dreading it, but I ended up absolutely loving the class, especially Kim's lectures. When he returns from sabbatical, take a class with him, even if you don't really need it! That's how great he is.

his pedantry moments (though highly pedantic) were often great at illustrating the material of the course. he loves to make you think critically in lecture and engages the lecture hall quite well. + i find that i use many things i learned from kim in my other english classes!

I would like to express my gratitude towards Professor Michasiw. He is SO interesting to listen to, I could hardly take notes because writing interferes w/ listening. He was very understanding in regards to an extension on my Heidegger paper. If you have the chance, take any class he will teach. He's a genius.

A witty, engaging professor who is as funny as he is smart. He is very loose with deadlines because he knows what it's like for us undergrads. (But don't abuse that; he might tougen up!)I'm sad he will be leaving :(

He uses a very high-level vocabulary, so if you're not a walking dictionary, good luck! I have always felt comfortable in English classes and have never had trouble with the English language, but in his cass, I feel I am sruggling to keep up. Other than this, he is a GREAT person overall! Very falmboyant personality, which is always fun!

"Ontogeny recapitulates Phylogeny" and other craziness in Michasiw's class! Polysyllabic mayhem! But if you like to think in abstract and love a good cynical laugh then this is the place to be! And remember, A Writer's Intro to Lit Theory is a stjupid title! And give the guy a break with late submitions and re-write tests/exams! nuf said

Genious, simply genious and oh that sarcasm! Didn't miss a lecture; anticipated each friday with the impatience of a 10year-old on a night before x-mas! Walked out of each lecture feeling awake with some kind of hyper-awareness of things I never thought of before. year 05/06 is the last time Kim is teaching these courses so don't miss out!

Seems 2 me like many pple are missing the point. Yes, Kim is entertaining but most importantly he can deliver even the most dense text in a way that leaves a feeling of clarity, inspiration, satisfaction... Kim, if you read this, please teach at a Grad. level when u come back from Sabbatical!
