She is pretty intimidating, but I really like her. She is extremely entertaining, and funny. I had heard she was a horrible mean teacher, but I actually really like her. She is very matter of fact.

Kim seems intimidating at first, but she is really a nice, nice person. She is a picky grader, but I liked that she wants students to learn anthro while learning how to write. She expects a lot so get used to it. She loves discussions and goes off on humorous tangents.

Kim does not live up to her reputation as a hard grader, or as a ****. Go to her with your draft on the first paper and you will find out what it is that she wants. The class is almost dissapointingly easy, and I disagree with many of the intellectual arguments advanced in it. However, Kim is open to other views, and will back down when wrong.

Kim is an amazing teacher. I found her class perfect to get prepared for an Anthropology major or minor. She is a fun person and seems very committed to being an excellent instructor. Even students who are not planning to do something with Anthropology will benefit greatly from her class.

Kim is amazing. She expects alot, but its all do-able. She gets off topic alot which saves me and some other people some embarrassment on not finishing the readings. All of her stories are hilarious and relate to class discussions somehow. I dig her. Take a class and prepare to work your ass off.

She is a horrible professor with hopefully no future here. She should never be tenured as she is a complete head case, tries to be funny, and act like a kid, but fails miserably

TERRIBLE teacher for beginning anthro. Rather than teaching cultural anthropology as a whole, she narrows the focus to her own interests, mainly material culture. I love anthropology, but found this class niether interesting nor productive. She also has HIGH expectations and requires a LOT of work.

My Anth 200 class with kim is the best class i am taking this semester. she is a harder grader, true, but those people who do not want to work should not be at Beloit. she expects a lot from her students and you should expect a lot from yourselves. to me, an anthro major, kim is the coolest

At first I disliked her a lot, but I have come to respect her and enjoy her company. I did well in her class, though it was a lot of reading and writing. You have to try hard. She expects excellence, but is willing to guide you if you need it.

Apparently well liked in small groups and classes, but impossibly bad as a beginning anthro lecturer. Demeans students; prev comments about perceived superiority to Beloit students match my experience.

worst class in four years at beloit. her grading policies are ridiculous, she's a horrible lecturer (if she lectures at all), and she publicly degrades students. mills is demanding- not challenging. there is a difference between challenging students and setting students up to fail.

Kim Mills is amazing, thought provoking, and funny. But, you can't take her classes as easy or medium, they will be difficult. You have to stick with it, keep up, and write a lot. Kim is hard, but she cares about her students, and will go the extra mile
