Comment:

If you are going to attend all the lectures and don't mind to write a lot, take this prof. He covers all the topics thoroughly, gives a lot of examples which are pretty similar to the questions on the tests. Overall, I enjoyed his teaching style and would take another class with him.

This professor is really amazing. Ive gotten A because I lost some lectures, and my midterm was not good. But If you go to the lectures and practice well, you can get A+ . Hes fare and if you dont do your midterm well, you can improve your grade by your final exam.

Comment:

Professor Lo is a great prof. He goes through the material at a reasonable pace to make sure you understand the material. Make sure you attend class as this is when he takes up practice questions which are similar to questions on tests. Final exam considerably harder than the midterm in my opinion.

He tells you right away what he expects you to know, and says that his lectures is all that you need to successfully pass (NOT TRUE). Textbook is useless. He makes up his own questions for the midterm, and says that questions will be similar to the questions that he gives in class but in fact they are not . Therefore you never know what to expect.

He is the best professor I had ever! Very clear with the material. If you go to his lecture and do the problems he suggested, you will end up with A+. He made a tough topic understandable! The TA also give the general marks too!

Professor Lo is a great prof! Very enthusiastic about subject matter, clear explainations, fair, and very approachable. If you have a question or are confused about something he will make sure he answers any questions thoroughly and clearly. Also tries to crack jokes to make the class more fun.

Other than his accent, I will say that he is humourous and not boring at all. He only writes notes on the blackboard so it gave people an incentive to go to class.

Dr. Lo is an amazing professor. He is a great motivator for advanced topics. He is extremely helpful and spends time explaining concepts that are not clear. His exams are extremely hard but he provides proofs and exercises that are similar in class. He challenges you to think and collaborate with other students. Extremely happy with his teaching.

One does not simply walk into his final. It's black gates are guarded by more than just proofs. There is complexity there that does not sleep, and the great eye is always watchful. It is off the equilibrium path riddled with asymmetric information and dynamics, the very action a function of belief. Not with 10000 men could you do this. It is folly.

He was interesting, well as interesting as an econ professor can get. He tries to make jokes to make it interesting (though a lot of them are dad jokes) but he succeeds well enough. He explains and teaches quite well, his tests are not too bad at all though I was unlucky and got stuck with a bad TA who marked terribly.

His TA's have marking problems. Unfair in terms of course A and B since A had a easier exam and marker whereas B had a harder exam and marker. No partial marks. Avg B class 35 A class 60. Don't recommend him, request new TA and complained to head. Nothing happaned. Half the class dropped.

Comment:

Mr. Lo knows the book inside out which lessens reading the book. Don't study from the book, it won't help since there are no exam level examples. Understand the concepts. He won't prepare you for the exam, only the midterm slightly. In class examples are not helpful due to it's simplicity which does not challenge the student to the exam level.
