Love him or hate him Prof. King Banaian is a great guy in my book. NOTE: You must read the text. In upper division he aims at keeping the class materials cost under $50. He can rant and go off subject but keep in mind everything he talks about is Econ related in many ways. He likes the class to be seminar like so aim to talk and enjoy yourself!

King is a professor who expects a lot from his students; like every professor should. I learned the most in his class out of any of the ones i've taken so far. He does tell a lot of stories but he keeps it interesting and they are relevant. I am a junior doing PSEO and got an A in his class (205) with relative ease, just understand the material.

He is your typical politician. Weights the tests 50/50. Tests are excruciatingly difficult, homework is verbatim out of the book. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. TELLS YOU MORE OF HIS PERSONAL LIFE THAN ECONOMICS.

Banaian is one of the last hardcore oldschool professors in St. Cloud. He believes in serious education, and you'll get what you paid for in his lessons. He knows his stuff. First time teaching 474. Too much content perhaps, but we all managed. I learned a ton, wanted to go to class everyday. Little homework, only 2 exams. Grad level class.

Easily one of the worst professors I've had at St. Cloud State University. He lectures about things that are unrelated to the subject material and is not flexible if you get sick and miss class. Also his tests are extremely hard when they don't need to be,especially the fact that it is a principles course. He is too focused on being a politician.

He doesn't really teach a lot about the subject. He tells lots of stories that don't even relate to the topic. I'm going to know more about his family than I am about economics. The stuff on the tests sometimes isn't even talked about at all in class. Pretty boring lectures.

King is an awesome teacher! The reason he tells stories is because a good econ professor should be able to relate economics to everyday life since economics is about what is goin on now! Read the books and you will do just fin! He is awesome!

Finally a professors who brings balance to an educational era of facist left-wing thought control. Doesn't care if you disagree with him as long as you are rational and realistic within your line of thought.

Finally an Econ class that actually talks about the economy. If you are interested in learning something and discussing the current economy, take him. Cool guy, laid back, funny. Fairly straight forward tests, time consuming HW

He is ok. tough grader, and alot of the hw/ test material is not covered in class or really all that much in the books. For a mid-term we had to write 3 essay q`s and barely anything was covered at all. kinda boring class but u dont need to go. The thing that bothered me the most is he kinda plays favorites with past students.

attendance isn't really mandatory, but it is if you want to do well in the class, you'd better be there. Book is called The Economics of Sports 3rd edition. It was a may term class for me (3 weeks).

Dr. Banaian expects a lot out of his students. I believe he is a great professor as he can keep me entertained the whole class. You will have to learn stuff out of the book on your own, but this is college. Dr. Banaian knows how to seperate "the men from the boys".

This guy thinks a little too much about himself and not enough about others....Ask him a question and he gives you no real answer other than to figure it out. In a 2 hour class period if he spent the actual amount of time teaching we would only be there for 45 minutes. So much irrelevant crap about his family that I could care less!

This class is impossible. Sloppy notes. If he spent half as much time teaching as he does talking about irrelevant things you might actually learn a thing or two. He's VERY smart but forgets that the rest of us don't know as much as him in the subject. If you like organized learning this class is not for you.

I took him for the intersession course Econ of Sports. The topic was easy to follow, as it pertained to Sports. However, Dr. Banaian made it very informative and entertaining. I will be taking more classes with him. Very nice guy!

Smart guy, made me interested in economics. Tests are tough and require you to think instead of just memorizing facts. Gets off subject a lot, but his stories can be entertaining. Good prof overall.
