Furukawa-sensei is very engaging and entertaining. Although there may be a few few awkward pauses when he asks a question, he keeps the class upbeat with his funny personality. Furukawa-sensei is one of my absolute favorite teachers - he is devoted, a wonderful comedian, and a very kind man. He REALLY knows how to make Japanese fun - in a way the other teachers in the East Asian dept. can't. He can be intimidating, but he always wants you to succeed and excel.

he's AWESOME. he makes the class so fun even if you're not that interested in the language. the class does pick up fast though so just study the book and do your homework and you'll be fine. the quizzes are cake.i'm not continuing next quarter b/c i wanna do other stuff but he was way awesome.

This guy has so much energy everyday in class. i have never had so much fun in a foriegn language class. the class moves really fast, so keep up. i would take it again just to see his celebrity impersonations!
