Dr. Bursik is an amazing professor. She's a very good lecturer. She is very accessible out of class for help. Pay attention, go to every class, take good notes, and read the textbook chapters and you will do very well on her straight-forward exams.

Comment:

Brilliant and funny professor who really knows the material and how to convey it in an understandable way. Her tests are quite difficult, but she does give all possible essay questions beforehand so preparation is key. Keep up with the reading because otherwise the lectures won't make much sense. Highly recommend this class for Psych majors!

I simply do not understand the people that love her. I think she is arrogant and impossible. I hated every moment of class but in general prefer discussion than lecture. Sure she is bright... but it doesn't make her exciting.

She is a very good teacher with interesting lectures. I never skipped one because I enjoyed every lecture. I enjoyed the content and did not dread the assignments. Although I'm not doing the best in class that I thought, it's my favorite class nonetheless.. sadly I don't think she'll be teaching it anymore but it's a great class!

The Psych Honors seminar is, by far, the best class Suffolk offers. Dr. Bursik is extremely organized, intelligent, and challenging. The work is hard but the information is invaluable. The skills learned and taught by Dr. Bursik will help any student succeed -- as long as you're willing to work hard.

Best prof. I've ever had. She is extrememly intelligent (hardly looks at her notes), organized and fair. Take good notes! Some people find her intimidating but once you get to know her she is kind and compassionate.

Honors class with Prof. Bursik was such an eye-opener. Learnt more about the essence of Psych than I ever did in any Psych class. She is proficient in her grading, clear in the teaching and challenges her students to do more. Definately one of the rare high-quality professors at Suffolk.
