very nice man. helpful when you go to his office. care about students. really want you to learn. clarity is good. organized lectures. strict in marking assignments but not in exams. It's almost easy to understand if you have concentration in class. if you like thinking and working on new ideas take the course.

I thought he was pretty good. He's a nice guy, and willing to help. Not sure why people had problems with clarity. I thought marking was fair as well...at least for 1710.

to conclusion, he is a nice people. He's course is boring, note is too simple, also he is not good in Java. but always pay many time to explain when you ask, you can get a very patient teaching. Vidya always come to classroom very early to wait his students, although many people absent in his course.

Not the worst professor in the world. Very, very far from the best though. Classes were extremely unstructured and unorganised and the material was inconsistent and unreliable. Material presented had very little to do with what was on exams and assignments. I had to hunt through many books to figure out what we were doing.

He seemed to know as much as we did going into the course, learning from various books as we went along. If someone asked an advanced question it would almost be like he'd say "Ask me tomorrow when I've read that section". The course was marked fairly easily, more likely the marker then him. A nice guy though, willing to help.
