Dr. Ratcliffe was extremely enthusiastic. I enjoyed her class discussions that were guided by her, but focused on the students. There was a lot of reading in a somewhat short period of time, however, and a fair amount of writing. But, as long as you do the work, you will get a good grade.

Ratcliffe is one of the best professors I've ever had. I feel lucky to have taken her course.. I think she wrote the curriculum, so who could teach it better? It's an intro class but I learned so much about writing that it's helped me throughout my college experience. She's so helpful, and easy to follow. Definitely take her if you can!

AMAZING teacher! the class had the potential to suck but her knowledge and experience in writing/rhetoric makes the class really fun. She explains ideas in complete detail and she is great to talk to in office hours. if you can get her, take her!

She was the most amazing English teacher I have ever had...and I'm a science major. She is sooooo helpful and clear about what she expects. It is very easy to get at least a B, but she is still a very fair grader. She also was just nominated for the US Professor of the Year. Definitely take her for any class.

Prof. Ratcliffe is the most phenomenol teacher I have ever had. She is incredible at explaining theories and the requirements for her paper. It is not very difficult to get a B but it is a fair challenge to get an A. I would highly recomend her.
