He is very knowledgeable. He teaches a lot of good things. If you have to take metals, do the homework as soon as possible to get that stress out of the way. Lab time he is very busy with everyone so be patient or take the bull by the horns if you know what you are doing.

Casting 1 has lots of papers, but first few are group papers and the rest you can refer to old parts. Casting 2: only 2 papers. Class ended on time once I think (6-10pm), expect to stay till midnight easily, latest we had was about 5am. Tattoo and monkey comments both apply well, if you can keep him on track, you will learn a ton! Amazing Professor

Get ready to write write and write some more. Papers are rough, semester is long don't expect to end on time ever. That being said good guy and a fun class. He gets way off topic and keeping him on track is impossible. Class is comparable to a monkey driving a cab, you get somewhere in the end but he's always up on the curb.

I have never met a teacher more well respected by companies and professionals in their respective field. It doesn't hurt that he can talk his way into or out of anything. And the comment about him loosing a tattoo... completely accurate... But honestly, the sky is the limit for what you can learn in his classes. A fantastic professor.

Kyle is the only person I know who could lose a tattoo if he had one, hut in metals knowledge he is unmatched, any question you have about composition, crytsaline structure, procedures, anything at all involving casting are sure to be answered in great detail by Kyle. Best Professor I have ever had, all you have to do is ask him and he will help.
