Quizzes every class, grades papers without fully reading so you must fight for your points that you deserve, mandatory attendance (skip 3 fail). She was not very kind while teaching and often got upset. Ignored you when you raise hands to ask questions. Don't go to bathroom or be reprimanded in front of class.

I'll admit after my first lab section with Lavern I was not a fan. But after taking both endocrinology and nutrition with her I grew into a fan. Yes she lectures very slowly but you will learn. I received very high A's on all her exams (95-97)... and thats not the normal for me. Test come straight from the notes. Respect her and she respects you.

She's sometimes rude yes, but if you don't allow her to get under your skin, she's more so hilarious! She'll yell at you for using the bathroom, but it's funny!!! People are so sensitive.. haha. If you can't make it to all of her classes to write notes, make sure you are understanding the chapters. I would suggest using studydotcom to study them.

Unlike many seem to think here, I didn't think she was "mean," and actually found Dr. WD to be kind of funny at times. Her lectures however are a hot mess, and I went to class only to know what we covered for the day and then relied on the book for self study. Avoid for lab if possible. Tests are really not that hard if you study.

Avoid! Talks very slow in lecture, and when you ask questions she looks at you like you are dumb. She does not give great directions on lab assignments. Tests have essays, which count for a lot of points. She does curve the tests. It's helpful to read the book, as her lectures are unorganized. Don't leave class, she will make a scene.

She is the most useless "teacher" I've ever had. You basically teach yourself throughout the entire class. I suggest getting the book because it's the only way you'll learn the material. And you have to learn it because her tests are ridiculous and extremely unfair. If you can avoid her, do yourself a favor .

The worst professor I've ever had. Literally does not seem to understand what you're saying when you ask a question, and so her answers are never helpful or just plain wrong. Doesn't know the basics of her own "specialty", let alone anything else about anatomy. She maintains that she's right even when she is quite obviously wrong.

It's a serious problem when you have to go home after class and compare the notes to the textbook to check and see if the professor is correct. Not only that, but she gets upset when you ask questions and treats you like a child. If you want to learn anatomy you're better off teaching yourself.

I received an A- in this class and while the content learned in this class is interesting she isn't that great of a teacher. She talks slow, doesn't allow you to go to the bathroom. For the tests you actually have to study hard if you want a good grade. Also for the group presentations, really know your stuff. She interrupts during them.

Worst teacher I have ever had. Too lazy to bring notes to class so she tells you many wrong things. Is extremely boring & talks so slow. The class would be interesting but she kills it. Tests are MC, math problem and essay. Don't ask a question in class because she looks at you like you are dumb. Will take off points in labs for "missing" comma's.

SHE IS AWFUL. worst teacher ever. She does hand stuff back in time but she is the worst teacher. So hard to understand. Gets mad when questions are asked. If you take her lab there is a quiz every week. Lets you drop 3. She is still possibly one of the worst professors ever.

Worst bio prof possible! Takes points off on tests (short answers) for no reason and cannot explain why! Very boring and gulps and yawns loudly during lectures! Her personality is terrible. Her teaching style is boring and she teaches some stuff that's questionable or old. FAD=2 ATP and NAD=3? If you can avoid her, do, it'll make your life more pleasant. If you must take her, suck up to her as much as possible.

Im not sure why she has so many bad comments. She is way easy. She is extremely fair, what she teaches in class is exactly what is on her tests. Shes one of my favorite profs. Just DO NOT come to her class LATE. She will call you out.

Why, at an institution that we must pay to be educated, do they allow inept teachers to teach us? Obviously, if the majority of students do poorly, the TEACHER is the problem. Teachers should be judged by the number of students who drop and the grades they receive-then maybe we could expect quality professors. PhD doesn't mean I can teach.

I'll keep it short and sweet: If you don't HAVE to take this class, don't. I think she's a pretty funny person, but her teaching style blows. The lectures are very boring, and she'll happily make you look stupid in front of everyone - so don't ask questions in class. Don't leave to use the restroom, either, or she'll call you out.
