Comment:
Do not take this professor if you care about your grades. Professor Wootton thinks she is very smart, and is consistently condescending towards her students. Her standards are beyond the level of an introductory, not to mention mandatory, writing course. The class is engaging, but I could not stress more that it's a bad idea to take.

This woman is extremely opinionated. If you do not follow her political/philosophical beliefs this will be a hard class and you will not like it. The reading material was interesting though.

Ms. Wootton is extremely hard grader do not take this class if you are looking for an easy class. She is very strict and expects a TON out of you. Be sure to participate because your grade will be higher. And meet with her during office hours she likes that. She is a very good teacher and you learn a lot but not easy at all.

Prof. Wootton is a very nice lady who spent a good part of her life teaching high school. She works well with students coming out of high school because she knows your skillset and is understanding. She is very clear, a very good teacher, but grades harshly. She wants you to improve (and can help) and believes in the college writing system at AU

She's a REALLY hard grader, but does it so you will improve, not to make your life miserable. It's a very manageable class, and it will make you SUCH a better writer. Ms. Wootton goes out of her way to explain everything to you, and she makes herself really available during office hours. She is probably the best teacher I've ever had.

Very hard to please, but will most definitely be of great resource and help to you. Do not take this class if you're in need of a GPA boost! She's a great professor but is not easy in any way.

Ms. Wootton-Don is perhaps perhaps been the best professor I've had thus far. Anyone who takes her class is at an advantage. She is challenging but the class is very manageable. Also, she is extremely helpful outside of class the fact that she lets you revise (and shows WHAT to revise) is a great perk you wont get from other profs.

Professor Wootton-Don is extremely difficult, but her class is definitely worthwhile. Contrary to popular belief, IT IS possible to get an 'A.' You've just got to work really hard for it. Go to office hours, rewrite papers, and contribute to lectures, and you'll get a lot out of this class from one of AU's best professors.

Very, very hard grader. However, she lets you revise every assignment and she gives you EXCELLENT feedback. She will make your writing skills exponentially better. However, she makes you read a book on mechanics by an author named Williams; it ABSOLUTELY sucks! This is a challenging class and professor, but you will become a better writer.

She's definitley one of the hardest teacher's I've ever had, most of the time I dreaded going to class, yet I only missed one. But she really does make your writing 100 times better, she let's revise everything you write, and when you get your first A back, it's probably going to be the best day of your life, because you'll know you earned it.

She is by far the most difficult teacher I have ever encountered, yet one, if not the best. You are going to hate and loathe her the majority of the time, but when you go into office hours she is the most helpful teacher you can have. I highly recommend taking her classes you are going to learn a lot. She lets you revise almost everything and impro

Grades extremely hard. Although very nice and helpful, dont expect this class to assist your gpa. You will most likely not get an A barely even a B. I would suggest taking a different college writing teacher.

She was definitely my favorite professor this semester. Her grading is difficult, but only because she expects a lot out of her students. She is very helpful, especially during office hours. If you visit her during her hours she will tell you what to change or add to a paper. All concepts of papers will be used later in your college career.
