You need the textbook and you need to read from it. She is actually very polite and nice to any student who may have a questions. I got an A in the class because I asked questions after class, payed attention and read the textbook.

Dr. Storrs has a tendency to ramble a bit during lectures and her delivery can be a bit dry. However, the material is great and the grading is VERY fair. Plenty of opportunities for extra credit. I found the discussion labs to be an enjoyable departure from the lecture. Overall, easy A. Oh, and I learned a bit too which is always fun.

It's true Professor Storrs' lectures are pretty boring, but the class is really easy and she's a nice lady. It helps if you take the Discussion Lab, you can get a lot of extra credit.

Oh my goodness, she is BORING. Class is not too difficult, but she makes it so boring with her long lectures. I would recommend taking someone else if you can, but you'll still pass this class if you put in some study time and effort. Test have tons of vocab. words on them and essays are easy to BS. :) Good luck!

Her lectures are a little boring. Her use of big words make it hard to take notes on key events effectively. There are like 60 vocabulary terms on each test. You have to from 20-25 multiple choice questions, 3-6identifications,and write an essay on each test. She gives you five essay topics but the extra credit essay is on the final exam,DO IT!

Her lectures are boring and she rambles on about stuff that wont be on her tests. The best thing you can do is attend class for the extra credit clicker points! Also attend the review sessions! TAs help a lot with the essays for the tests. Also i never touched the textbook, i only read the reader, attended class, and studied and I was fine!

Most boring class i have ever been to, and history is my favorite subject. She has no charisma nothing to grab the attention of someone learning, and many people by the end of her lectures are caught sleeping. IN the end, its a pretty easy class 2 midterms that you can wing with no studying, and 1 final that is also the same way. Easy grade butBORIN

Initially seems a little boring, but she is really in to her lecture and that really keeps you awake and interested. Her tests are REALLY easy as long as you know the terms on her reviews and practice before hand the essay prompts. Attendance is mandatory and her TA will make sure that you are awake and not on your phone. Definitely recommend.

2 mid-term exams, 1 final that's not comprehensive of whole semester, no papers. Must attend class, uses clicker to answer questions, mid-way through course decided to give extra points for right answers. Gives plenty of opportunity to get extra points to boost grade. Her lectures are from book, but she kept my interest. Nice TA, very helpful.

She gives bonus randomly for attendance. So going to class is not mandatory unless u want the bonus... But everything is very well explained and some of the questions on the test can be from out of nowhere. Manageable class if u do decent amount of studying.

Sometimes her classes can drags on and talks a little too much, and i didnt really learn much from her. I got it all from the txt book. I felt going to her classes were pointless because everything is in the txt book but she takes attendence for points so you have to, but as long as you read the txt book and reader you'll do great.

I recommend her class! The tests are easy. Study and you'll do great. If you put a minimal amount of time into this class and expect an A, good luck. College does NOT work that way.

If you take the 2nd history (1378) in the fall, you will have an easy time. The class is smaller because most people tend to take the first history instead. Key: attend lectures and stay AHEAD on reading. Professor Storrs is very thorough in her lectures and somehow made the subject much more interesting. Tests have essays that are leniently graded

what i liked the most was tht thre were NO PAPERS. spnt 75% time takn notes while i was half asleep. 2 mids: mlt chce, essay(using terms), defining terms othr terms. KNOW your terms. shes not too clear on wht is the "importance"of each lect. you have2 pay attn fig it out urself. B on both mids. final? hopflly an A/B. TA's are hlpful

It's a big class filled with mostly average minded people. As a result, her lectures are uninteresting but to the point and will help you on the exam. An A is attainable if you remember to look at your notes and books the night before the exam.

Interesting material, however, lectures are boring and monotone. TAs treat you like you're in high school, hovering over you to see what is on your laptop screen. The only grades are the tests, no homework is offered. Exam reviews NOT held during class, leaving others and me unable to attend (held during other class times) not recommended.
