She's amazingly intelligent and genuinely wants to impart some of it to her students. She really knows her stuff, as well, and the way she talks about Shakespeare is eye-opening and completely worth the tough-graded papers. I would take this class again, if i could.

Intellectually arrogant, and super intimidating to first semester freshman. Had unrealistic expectations for students writing and a sharp tone in class. Really disliked her and do not reccommend EVER.

I think she's a great professor, she really helps you with papers and developing your ideas for topics on what to write about. She's also really entertaining and is very good at languages. I strongly recommend taking a class with her, especially if you like poetry.

Comment:
Very engaging lecturer who displays a frightening level of knowledge about Shakespeare. Not afraid to give bad grades to students who write poor essays -- also not afraid to reward good writers. Encourages class participation and good out-of-class work.

The other rating isn't fair to her. She is a hard grader, but she presents the material in a very lively fashion.
