Comment:

Sometimes he'd give us non-related tidbits before class, and that was cool. But he was a bitter, cyclical old man. I had a tutor, a friend with a business major and a math minor help me out, missed class maybe twice, studied and used his study guides, and I still just barely passed! He's hard and moves through material FAST -- but not impossible.

He is very intimidating but if you take notes and do your homework you should be fine. He goes over notes very fast and it gets really confusing. You really have to work outside of class to make the good grade.

Has a different sense of humor. He likes to do problems really fast in his head so you don't ever really understand where numbers are coming from. If you ask though, he will be more than willing to show you step by step..don't let him scare you! 80-100 is an A which helps but I would suggest a tutor and doing the practice he sets up online.

Dr. McRae is Satan. I retook him 2xs cuz other lady is worse(think its his wife*). I have never met someone so arrogant in my entire life. He thinks students are brainless masses of flesh and he is a god of some sort.He repetitively mocks students. I cant believe he got tenure. Most arrogant person on the planet, actually makes the next test harder if too many people do well on it...He acts as if he wants everyone to fail. Even has probability questions on how most people have to retake his class... DO NOT TAKE HIM.

McRae is an odd one. He comes across as mean-spirited and hateful, but if you take the time to engage him before or after class he's willing to answer questions and is much more pleasant. Leaving early or texting in class will get you called out every time. Also, his grading scale is better for college math than the 10-point one we all know.

only thing i have to say - quote from class; kid comes in sites beside me. proceeds to tell me story about how he was crossing road when he turned to his right and saw a professor who looked like McRae in car smoking pipe and was speeding up trying to hit him. 2 mins later McRae told the exact same story exept from his point of view;HILARIOUSEASYA

His tests are really hard and notes are hard to understand. If you read all the chapters you will be fine, because his tests comes straight from the book, and his class notes don't follow the book or his tests at all. DON'T SIT IN THE BACKROW!!

If you can take someone else. He trys to make the class hard. You copy atleast 3 front and back pages of notes each class b/c he wont post his powerpoints. When asked legitimate questions he sometimes mocks the students by saying something like "well if you would have been studying instead of slacking off this weekend you would know".
