Comment:

He is amazing!!! You will not regret taking him, he is so caring about his students. As long as you do the work (its not difficult) you will get a good grade. He is so funny and keeps students engaged. Also he seems like such a good person which made the class that more encouraging to go to. I went to all the class meetings because hes that cool.

The class is very well organized as well as well taught. Larry is a great professor who clearly goes over what he needs to teach in the class. His big grading items are two homework packets and a midterm and final. One of the best classes I've had here

Comment:

Phenomenal lecturer. As long as you did the worksheets and studied the material from his study guide, then you are golden. Lecture wasn't mandatory and you definitely needed to buy the textbook. Only 2 tests(Midterm and Final) and 2 specific dates to turn in worksheets. No extra credit offered.( Midterm 100 points, Final 100 points, Worksheets 100)

I heard great things about him and when I went to his classes, it exceeded my expectations. He is an awesome professor who loves to share stories and his passion about film music. This is his last official semester here and I'm going to miss him. He will come back to work part time.

In this class, you'll learn as much as you put in! This is an interesting class and Professor Timm is truly passionate about music. He's a kind person and makes class fun with all his jokes. Half of the class did not attend lectures but it's an awesome opportunity to listen to good music & get test questions, I highly recommended coming!

You can tell this professor loves the topic he teaches. Interesting material. I always came to class, but I would say attendance is not crucial. I don't see why not come if you don't have anything else to do? Pretty easy for upper division course.

Professor Timm is great! Lecture are always very interesting and he's always animated. Textbook is necessary because the homework is in it and you need it to study. I only showed up to turn in the hw (twice) and take the midterm and final. He provides great study guides so you can look up the info for the tests in the book if you don't go to class

Fairly easy class. Great teacher, pretty humorous, tries to make his lectures interesting. Study the study guide well and you will be in great shape.

Professor Timm is great. I only attended the first day, two other classes to turn in homework, and for the final and got an A. The book is required for the tear out homework questions in the back of each chapter. The material is interesting if you actually read it, but this class is as easy at it gets when it comes to a 300 level course.

Tim is a amazing and humorous professor. You do not have to attend his class to pass. The textbook is required because his lectures come straight from the book and always refers to them during class.

Dr. Timm is absolutely hilarious! The material is not that much interesting but he does everything he can to make class enjoyable. Class consists of a midterm and. A final with homework being turned in twice. You HAVE to buy the book because the homework is inside. easiest class I have ever taken!

There are a total of 2 exams (a midterm and a final) and 2 packets of homework to turn in. Lectures are interesting since you mostly watch film clips from movies. Only downside is you have to buy the book NEW since the homework has to be ripped out.

Professor Timm is very clear with his lectures, he does want everyone to purchase the textbook since it has the homework pages. Attendance is not mandatory, but he does give answers to some test questions. He makes this class very easy so it should not be hard to pass.

Does not take attendance. Only bad side is that you have to buy his textbook (which he wrote) NEW. You tear out the homework from the book. Only days you really have to go to class is to turn in the homework and exam days. Two homeworks and two tests. He gives study guides, which he goes over and tells you which things are omitted from the exams.

Take this class! You turn in homework twice a semester, and take a midterm/final. I never showed up to class and got an A! The book is REQUIRED. The answers to the homework are all in the book, and you just need to show up to class the day before your test and he goes over a review guide with you. Everything on the test is on the review!

Great class and professor! He actually works in the industry so he knows the in's and out of film music and has exclusive material you most likely can't access anywhere else. You have to buy the book because you are required to rip out the homework pages from it. Extremely easy, even if you only study from the book and not come to class.

EASY A. He is funny and the homework assignments and tests are easy. I went to class a total of 4 TIMES the whole semester. 2 days that are test days and the 2 other are mandatory days to turn in homework packets (which are small). Take's questions about the exams DURING THE EXAMS & basically gives you the answer. He's so nice and caring, 10/10!

LOVE HIM, take him, even for non-music majors! Even though class isn't mandatory, show up! he is so nice and i felt bad a lot of the time because people would always skip class :/ haha he gives study guides before exams and gives you test answers during class. Take this class if you can!
