Horrible Professor, takes up too much class time talking about random things. Wastes time before exam then doesn't give you enough time to complete them. Makes you buy her notes, which are fully accessible on blackboard. I would really recommend any other professor.

Laurel is an amazing teacher. She is hilarious, encouraging and caring. Her lectures make the concept of the course clearer and easier to study.

she is not considering with the students at all. Im taking this class during summer at 6:30 to 9:30 and she sometimes gives us a break (just 10 min) for a 3 hour class, not enough to eat; considering that she doesnt allow you to eat in her class. Seriously?? She sometimes makes rude comments about students who have send her emails asking questions

Laurel is an extremely caring and fun teacher. Yes there's a lot of homework but it's straightforward. As long as you do it, you'll be fine. She will tell you up front what you need to know and what she will test you on. She gives you plenty of resources and help if you need. I'm sure the students complaining just aren't willing to put in ANY work.

I took her the first time. And I swear on my cats, I regret this decision . Being into my last sem, I wanted to graduate with a good GPA. But that dream seems harder to become true. I would not recommend her ever to anyone. She is so unclear and clueless when I ask her something.

Homework assignments are very useful. Explains material well and you will learn. Be prepared to read the textbook before class. Lectures can be a snooze during information time, but she tries to relate the material to real scenarios which are fun.

I found one night a week to be too little for a course like this. It would have been better if it was a 2 day a week course. I felt she was very unorganized and always needed clarification on assignments (her outline tells you one thing, but her examples tell you another). Take it with another prof if you can.

Just save your time, money and sanity. Laurel is by far the most unorganized Professor i have had at douglas (while teaching an organizational business class) the irony. a deflated beach ball would have taught me More about business. She brought up ex husbands, reviews made on this site, and got extremely emotional in class. very unprofessional

Aweful and unprofessional doesnt know how to talk to poeple. talked about her recent rating on this site in class nearly cried about it nd basically thretened the class to not write here bcuz we "arent helping other student" with these ratings. she read one out loud and was confused by its nature but sounded accurat to me and the rest of class.

She is a BIG source of DEMOTIVATION An instructor as usually expected are meant to inspire student, encourage students towards course but she is just opposite. Lots of homework, expect student to study 12 hours a week outside the class ,just imagine if every instructor starts expecting that we need 36 hours per week for 3 courses UNREALISTIC

Laurel in the worst teacher I've had at Douglas. Not only myself but my entire group thinks so as well. She teach a management class yet she can't manage to explain things properly. The material is already dry as is so having a terrible teacher to pair with it makes for the horrible class. Avoid taking this class with Laurel at all cost.

Laurel was odd right off the bat. From her poor time management skills (while teaching time management) and her random tangents into unrelated topics, her class left me even more confused on the true purpose of the topic. You must pre-read every chapter as all classes will start with a quiz on the chapter shes about to teach, very backwards.

The instructor is not helpful, she is rude to students, she allocates very limited time to office hours so additional help is not existent; she has unrealistic expectations, and a large number of students failed the course. Do not take her!!!

Worst teacher I ever had at Douglas. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASSES. She is so rude and doesnt respect her students at all. If you are struggling with the material, instead of helping to clarify, she will say things like "Dont waste your time in this class, just drop the course"
