She took marks off my presentation because I did not use the words "In conclusion" to signal to the audience that I was wrapping up my speech. It would have been understandable had she included that criteria in the assignment outline, but it was not mentioned at all. Her expectations were extremely difficult to gauge. Very discouraging.

I took her poetry class a few years ago as well. She was uptight and rigid in the acceptance of subject matter and style. She arbitrarily marked on the basis of what she liked. If you enjoy writting about rainy days, puppy dogs, and sad clowns, this is the class for you!
