This class is EXTREMELY time consuming as opposed to the other 417 classes (MUCH heavier work-load), but you will be so proud of your portfolio in the end. I'm an account, but I still managed to do well in the class. In truth, my grade didn't even matter to me when I was finished my portfolio--it's such a feeling of accomplishment.

I just got a creative internship with a company I'm very happy with bc of my work from class. Employers liked the unique assignments. Even tho other ppl said the material was "outdated," it doesn't mean ur work should be. my co. is really young, fun and edgy and even they repeat the tried & true ad sayings we learned in class ("puppies & babies!")

you'll work your ass off but it's fun. Better for creatives, but you have to take it either way so may as well take the better prof. I don't think they play favorites; they just appreciate talent. complaints are coming from kids who think they're better than they are; there was a lot of crappy work done in this class. you get what you put into it.

they're stuck in the 70s, yet you're expected to be a photoshop wiz... too much creative work if you're not headed that route, and not hip enough for those who strive to be creative decievingly terrible class, and yes they play favorites

i liked this class, in that it was fun and never boring, and they're two of the most fun professors ever, but they do love playing favorites, and unless you're one of them, you're not getting above a B in this class, no matter how great your work is. They're a bit unclear in critique as well.

Excelent class, I took the night class from 6-9 and it was great. He is an awsome guy and knows how to teach advertising, he really focuses on the basic guidline for good advertising, and he would know he has done some amazing work in his time.

Offered Photoshop workshop taught by fellow students. If you ask for clarification of a critique, you will get it. Light-hearted classroom tone, made me want to be there.

Very biased and fake. Smiles, grins and jokes alot but most of the time it all seemed forced and false. I hardly learned anything about AdCopy and Design. Most of everything was self taught. Disappointment

Very entertaining class. Be OVER-THE-TOP and he will love you. Know photoshop before taking the class, because he makes NO HELP AVAILABLE. He chooses his favorites on the first day of class, and won't bother learning the name of anyone else.

Best and most useful class i ever took. you came out of your first design class with an amazing portfolio no other cm 417 class has that. The examples were old, but thats important to know what the history was so you could grow with the changes

Perhaps the most entertaining class I've ever taken. Work examples are slightly outdated, but you leave the class with a completed portfolio and the final is a mock job interview. How cool is THAT?
