Dr. Frank knows the 19th century like no one else. He made me a better, sharper writer, and gave me encouragement to pursue grad school. He was the kindest prof I ever had at OU. I had a horrible time the semester my mom died. Dr. Frank took it upon himself to make sure I got the assignments I needed to keep up with classes. I'll never forget him.

Tremendous teacher. May seem intimidating at times, but is truly very nice and lenient. Knows way more than any human should about his subject, and will take your literary analysis skills to a level no other teacher in the department can. Easily the best english prof I've had at Ou. Too bad he's mostly retired. I would take any class he offers.

Mr. Frank is my very favorite professor! He is kind-hearted and wise, and he is the only professor I had at OU who really could teach students how to write. He's intense, and he doesn't put up with ****. He has my eternal respect and admiration!

I took four classes with Mr. Frank, and he truly was one of the best professors I had while at OU. He challenges students to write concisely and to read the text in-depth. He also gives PHENOMENAL and voluminous feedback on papers. Thank you Mr Frank!!

Dr. Frank is a true teacher, not some egomaniac who is out to advance himself in some way. He works for his students because he loves to teach. If you want heart and to learn, take him. You'll be better for it.

Rarely does anyone get the opportunity to meet someone who inspires them to reach beyond themselves to grasp something that seems unattainable. Frank does this extremely well and wears his heart on his sleeve. He moves one to think and write concisely.
