Only class where I've attended every lecture because he doesn't post notes. Labs are easy with some programming background but the assignments are long and difficult. Midterm was straight forward, but the exam was just insanity. Absolutely nothing like previous year exams. He gave a very generous curve on the final (30-40%, avg was way below <50%).

He wants everyone to fail. His lectures are not useful. His practice exams are completely different from the actual exams. Goodbye!

good prof. tests arent bad, just practice the examples in class. the tests are super long tho, but he gives bonus marks! he's funny and takes his time explaining. must go to class because he hand writes all of his notes and doesnt post them

Very good prof knows linear algebra extremely well. Few things you'll notice about him: 1. 9/10 lectures he will use up to the last minute to explain something new 2. Talks like a mad scientist 3. Makes note taking hard by erasing stuff 4. Repeats some things so many times. With that said, hes a good prof still.

Class attendance is mandatory if you want a decent grade (doesn't post notes online). Lots of MATLAB so be prepared for that. Coding questions are often 100% or 0% but he'll give you marks if you defend your code (go see him). Tests are not similar to practice tests he posts but they're not that bad if you study. He bell curves if marks are low :)

hard evaluations. not just tests, but assignments and quizzes can be hard too UNLESS you know your material 100%. oh and he gives pop quizzes, so if you like surprises props, otherwise good luck. no notes posted online too so ALWAYS attend classes and PAY ATTENTION.

He has an awesome teaching style, very goofy and funny, tries to get students to inderstand theory of the concepts. Go to lectures that is important. Exams are pretty hard.

AMAZING prof. Really clear and is easy to approach. He explains things in detail and is not afraid to ask questions if anyone needs help. ATTEND his lectures as they are were clear and was all I needed to study for his midterm/finals to achieve a B+. Easy course.

I suggest you sit in the front row since he writes tiny. His tests are fair but there will always be a couple of questions that are difficult. Class gets boring but pay attention. I find it more helpful paying attention to his lectures than just to simply copying the board. He explains a lot of important things verbally (and doesn't write it down).

Lectures are a must unless you plan on teaching yourself from the textbook. He explains everything really well. The subject is quite straightforward but he somehow manages to put some pretty tough stuff on the exams, so make sure to study and do as many problems as you can. Overall, great prof and pretty funny too.

He is a pretty good prof. There are a lot of ideas going on in his head. He jumps from one topic to another out of no where. I personally did not like the course. I believe the course should be changed to CPS. You can get an easy A without even knowing the theory.

Quite a challenging course, very easy to fall behind in. The MATLAB component was quite difficult, but the theory was pretty easy. Dr. Kolasa is a very helpful in office hours and will make sure you understand.

Outstanding professor. Speaks very clearly, explains concepts at a pace that doesn't lose anyone. His jokes are funny (IMO). Always up-beat and fun, but still professional. Best prof I've had, period. If I needed more mth courses, I would seek out anything he teaches. I can't think of anything negative to say whatsoever. Great work Dr Kolasa!
