I'm astounded by the entitlement and lack of ambition from Psych students. Would you complain taking physic from Einstein, economics from Keynes, or statistics from Galton if it were hard? Yes, Dr. P may be boring & difficult. He is also a reputable scientist who has done more research in his life than most combined. He will prepare you for rigor.

I studied with him several years ago. For 22 years I have been practicing clinical neuropsychology. My time with him was one of the best learning experiences of my life. He is tough but if you want to be a professional psychologist study with him.

Honestly the WORST professor I've ever had. He tells you that his lectures aren't from the book, but his test is 80% book and 20% lecture--in order to get anything higher than an 80 you need to attend the boring lectures. You also need to teach yourself the material from the (unorganized, boring) book that he wrote and you can't buy used.

Class is horrible, BUT the KEY to passing is to GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS BEFORE THE MIDTERM AND FINAL EXAMS!!! He lets you see your old exams and copy the questions and correct answers. His midterm and finals are made up of the EXACT SAME QUESTIONS as the regular exams. Then when u study just memorize what u copied down. Helps A LOT.

Class was boring as hell, book was worse (He wrote it, so don't even try to question his opinions in it), Exams were on material I swear only he knew of in his own head and never revealed to us. Overall both he and the class are 1 step up from death.

His lectures are mindnumbing, and only counted for 10% of his exam questions. You can miss half of the lectures and still be ok. You should really read the book though, its the whole exam. If you've had a lot of psych classes already you will be fine.

He was absolutely horrible ... His tests were so hard and he was way to boring to sit through so it was impossible to take notes. He wrote the book so that was as boring as he was. If you can switch out of his class DO IT !!!!

Dr.****in was a fantastic lecturer. I learned much, and he took his job seriously. His exams were difficult compared to most Psych courses offered at RU, but it's hard to justify doing poorly if you actually work and attend class.

A bunch of cry babies. He's a practicing clinician. He wrote the book (literally). To get an A, 2 things are all that's required, attend all the lectures and read the book. His lectures follow the readings, so if flows together. You have to study.

1) Hes boring. 2) For about 30/50 exam questions I knew the answer, knew the study, knew the results down to the number percent whatever, studied, and for the life of me could not find anything even remotely resembling the right answer among the 4 choices
