Son Hing is clearly more on the research end of things as her teaching is completely unacceptable. If you have any type of learning disability her teaching style will most likely be completely ineffective. She taught about effective group work and power dynamics yet contradicted material in the way she dealt with her students and the overall class.

Exams are hard but very fair if you study, if you go to class you should do well in this course. She loves talking and explaining things to the best of her ability. Group work was stressful with her asking a billion different questions bout your response but if you did the work there was nothing to worry about! LOVED her and LOVED the course!

Go to the classes, 50 minutes with skeleton lecture slides, go and youll do good. Shes super helpful if she recognizes your face from class (another reason to go). Dont let the group work intimidate you, she creates the groups using a survey, I loved my group and we did great!

Tough prof. Not approachable. She will bite your head off if she gets the chance. If you dont have an 80% GPA, dont bother talking to her because that will be one of her first questions for you and if you dont, you will be rudely dismissed. No joke.

Professor Son Hing is by far the best prof i have encountered in my university career. She is articulate, enthusiastic, challenging but fair. Definitely NOT self-absorbed as others have described her.

I'll give her credit for enthusiasm and energy- but nothing else. She is far too objective for areas where there is room for discussion. Basically, its her answer or you're wrong. Also needs to work on her ability to clearly answer questions

She is super hot, and super smart. I totally disagree with anyone who think's she's out to make fools of others. She tries to bring the best out of people, which means holding them to high standards. If she's aggressive, that's cool/sexy too. Besides, as a woman and a minority, she's probably had to be aggressive to get the success she deserves.

Leanne is very hard and expects a lot from her students nut in the end her marking is fair. She always is willing to make time for her students and provide tons of feedback. As a result I learned ten times what any other intern has learned when working with other profs. She doens't think she is God, she is out to destroy those who think they are!

Brilliant - most enthusiastic prof I ever had the pleasure of being taught by. Son Hing really cares. I never met another prof who makes sure she learns every student's name in her classes. She is not easy, but she makes sure her students really know their stuff.
