Comment:

Without a doubt the best teacher I ever had. Changed my perspective on art and taught me drawing techniques that I've been using ever since. Unfortunately, he's retired now, though I believe he still teaches the occassional Drawing 4A class. Overall, I recommend him to anyone who's serious about drawing. "Best teacher ever!"

I learned more from Lee Tecang than how to draw. I learned what it means to be an artist, to look at things from a different perspective, and the right questions to ask myself about my work. It wasn't always easy, and there were times when I felt a little overwhelmed between my work life and the assignments in his classes, but I always ended up being amazed at what he got out of me. The time I spent with Lee is what I consider to be among the most positive educational experiences of my life.

He is very nice, kind and humoristic guy. He really wants students to improve, that's why his class is not easy. But I really learnd something now. I think his grade is fair. Since he was retired, he just teach every Fall quarter. But it's hardly hear what he said. Anyway, he is a good instructor.

One thing I like in his class is he will do the critique on each student's project. Not very much teachers do that. However his teaching and critique sounds theoretical and complicated at some points. Otherwise, just like what others say, he is great.

Agree with above comment. Intimidating guy. Felt totally out of depth as a beginner in this class and did not get much encouragement either and was impatient when i asked for help. However those taking an arts degee loved him.
