Lectures were so boring I fell asleep both of the two times I went to them. TA was unhelpful. Readings were long and dry. For the exams we were expected to cite our sources from the readings by memory. It was the most work I've ever had to do for a 1000 level course. Ridiculous.

You don't need to go to lecture, but go to tutorial and do the readings. A lot of her handout's were very repedative (talks about academic integrity etc). apart of every assignment you have to complete some form of AI quiz. She also had the longest syllabus I've ever received (25 pages). Her review was nice, but her lectures were boring.3rd year

DONT TAKE THIS. Her essays always come with unnecessary write ups on academic integrity or academic research andddd related quizzes aswell. This is all on top of the essay. Her essay instructions are also incredibly long. The longest was 25 pages. Insane for a 1st year course. This course is made to weed 1st year students out. -4th year student :

Ive never written one of these but I truly feel that people should know how extremely boring her lectures are. Shes nice but talks for two hours straight and theres no student engagement. Her monotone voice doesnt help. The tutorials are great. The assignments are easy but the instructions are unecesssarily long. Do the work & youll be fine.

DO NOT TAKE WOMEN AND SOCIETY. Avoid this class at all costs. The TA is the only saving grace. Yes, its a 9 credit course- but it is so incredibly unnecessary for the 24 page instructions for each assignment (4 huge ones by the way). If you make the same mistake that I did and take this class- dont go to the lecture, just do the readings.

She is ok. Her lectures are extremely boring, most of the marks are taken from the readings and assignments you do in tutorial. She made every concept so confusing for no reason. TA left early and then she became my TA and would not agree with you unless you shared the same opinion as her. OK marker though. She is friendly though for the most part.

I did not enjoy this class whatsoever. She made it difficult for no reason. She took concepts that she could have explained easily and made them harder to understand. Would never recommend this class with her. Her assignments are so long. Does sh not understand that you may be taking 4 more courses alongside hers.. unnecessarily extra

Must attend the lectures if you want to pass. Her assignments come with at least 18 pages of instructions, if you follow it all to the dot, you should get good marks. Buy the kits, read them and keep detailed notes, those articles are usually needed for the test and exam. She gives study guides so just prepare using those.

Its a 9 credit course and the lectures are really boring, makes you want to sleep. I hated the lectures but the ta Trina Desouza is the best and made everything easy and fun. Love her, she is the best and if you want to take this class then take it with her. Also you have to be able to talk and present

do your readings and make sure to get class notes. Its really boring however i don't think lee marks hard, she has specific things she's looking for in essays that are CLEARLY labelled for you. Follow the format she wants and you'll do fine even if u write sh*t. bonus if donna is ur TA! super nice and helpful!

Keeping up with readings is a must!!! She is helpful if you approached with your questions, she's not a mind reader. That being said a very hard marker and objective. A lot of work and effort is required in the class. Do not skip and pay attention!!

Too much readings and assignments and boring as hell. She kills students with tons of readings and very repetitive. She kills you with instructions, 30 pages instructions for an assignment. I really like women studies but this prof makes run and never look back.

I had her as TA, and she's EXTREMELY helpful. There is a lot of assignments in this class however she literally tells you exactly how to do them and they WILL benefit your future writing en-devours. However she's very boring and mono-toned, can put you asleep.

This prof is not helpful AT ALL!! There are no clear guidelines for how you will be marked such as a rubric. She said she likes to take a holistic approach, which really means a very subjective approach. Would not recommend this course with her.

Prof assigns TOO MUCH WORK! In addition to the 3 essays that r expected, the last essay is split up in2 3 parts so technically u have to do 5 essays 4 this course, 2 group projects (1 of them being a research assignment). Lecs r BORING, MONOTONE & the content is very repetitive! Lec outlines are good so I stopped going to lecs. KEEP UP W/ READINGS!

As basically everyone else has said she's very mono toned and quite boring. (Paying attention/Listening to her in lectures is a job and a half) She's an average marker. She gives quite a lot of readings but they aren't heavy. I honestly feel like I haven't learned a lot in this course unfortunately, she's beats around the bush a lot also.

She was absolutly boring, always spoke in a monotone. Her lectures felt like 6 hours rather than 2. The only good thing I liked about her class was that she gave very detailed notes (which she posted on moodle),she used related references. But most of the info was repetitve.I skipped half her lectures but loved my TA.You can pass by writing bs
